It will be too expensive. badminton used to be popular in this small town but now its going downhill. we only have enough people to play doubles on a full court. for stringing, I ship my racquet to victoria and the store restrings the racquet and sends it back to me. that costs a total of 26 CND excluding the string. I got 6 packs of strings when my uncle visited me. ( too bad. I didnt get bg66 b/c of its poor durability.) they are from china so they dont cost much. so, in total, I have to pay approx. 30~35 CND for restringing. thats why I want avoid restringing. but I will move out to a big city in august, then I will have it retrung.

Thanks guys for the info. I was able to buy it from the Yonex Showroom at Far East Plaza. It cost me S$301. I haven't tried it yet because I got sprained the day before we left. Still waiting for my ankles to heel.

    just got it

    ns8k 3u US version + bg85 @ 26-27lbs.

after getting use to my mp100 and ti10, this racquet felt very weird. i could barely get any power out of the racquet, it just feels like its empty, hollow, and light. when i played with the ns8k, it felt as if i might as well just swing with nothing in my hands. but for those who are still planning to get this racquet, do not be discouraged; so far i have not been able to get use to it, but im pretty sure i can. ill give it another two weeks or so.

people...this is probably not relevent...but i'm in college...and i just bought myself a NS8000...shots are fantastic..i dunno why people are saying shots are unforgiving at times because you have to be pretty naff if you mess shots up with this racket...it makes badminton a hell of alot easier...100% recommendation...i do agree that it's quite fragile though..

Wow finally, I got the NS8000. After few rallies, I thought it was what I wanted from a racket. it's the racket of my dream. Incredibly fast, powerful, accurate, control, excellent defense, and exspecially, my net playing improve indeed alot. Haha, I got used to it just in a second. At the first double game with NS800, I can do a backhand denfense that I could never do before and that surprised my partner:D Bravo NS8000.

Having played with this racket, I wanna sell my MP23, 44, 88 to raise fund for another NS8000 :D. It's so tempting.

Out of track, I got a MP99 at the same time with NS8000 and it's as good as Ns8000. MP99 is more balanced and a bit slower than NS8000, which are the differences between the two.

    my opinion on the ns8k

hi im a newb here and i have 3 nano 8000's, i bought 2 wen they were 1st released and i got my third 1 at a tournament a couple of months ago. i havent yet broken any of them (unlike my 2 broken at700's:crying: ). my only criticism about these rackets is that the paint tends to chip very easily(i accidentally pulled the serial number off of 1 of them whilst regripping:mad: )
i have found that of my ns8k's feel the sme so i doubt that the duribility will have improved but as of yet i havent had a durability problem. i have alot more people break ns7k's than ns8k's.

If you mean the paint for the serial number came off one of your nanos, then i'm pretty sure you bought a fake racquet. You can't pull off the serial numbers as they are laser engraved.

The numbers are engraved on the paint. You can actually have it removed.

    Yet another injury!

My NS8000 rackets appear to be causing much damage off the court as well as on it. All 6 of them (2U) are strung at 28lbs and two of my friends (reasonable level) are now injured after trying out my rackets. Ideally I would like it to be strung at 30lbs but I don't understand it. I have never experienced any discomforts.

People be warned! Know what your limits are!

Yeah, no obvious problems. I checked with my coached before having them strung that way. No loss of power at all but the control is totally superb! The only reasons that it is not strung at 30lbs is because the strings would otherwise break too often and I would have to spend a lot of money on restrings.

Don't you have three of them yourself? Mine was bought at a very VERY good price. That's why I have 6.

BG68ti. I have tried all the yonex strings and this one gives me exactly what I want. I prefer something that offers high repulsion but in general, these strings (BG66, cybernatural 100) tend to feel to0 soft. BG68ti still manages to retain good repulsion at 28lbs and doesn't feel like a "rock" unlike other strings that is thicker in diameter (more than 0.68mm).
