It's exactly same scoreline for Lin Guipu def. Lee Cheuk Yiu. Two Chinese boys advance into last four, Shi Yuqi v Aditya Joshi and Lin Guipu will meet either Ginting or Tsuneyama.

A lop-sided 1st game win for Ginting, 21-8, over Kanta.

Kanta turns his game around in G2, 21-14, to even the score and force the rubber.

Sorry, I've forgotten this impressive Taiwanese girl who defeated one of the seeded Chinese in R1.

Must say i'm not sure if Busanan will be able to fully recover from playing in China before the World Championships in Denmark on Monday. She has an afternoon match (1pm vs Corales) which should help her but the travelling and jet lag will be a factor.

Now HBJ is somehow motivated and showing her class over Busanan, winning 21-14 in G1.

I didn't realize that HBJ is so stocky and wields a powerful smash.

They are level now at 7-all in G2.

It's point for point now at 9-all, but HBJ seems the more aggressive.

But HBJ now leads 11-9 at the interval with a baseline shot that caught Busanan on the back foot.

Busanan has not been able to seize the attack and is under a lot of pressure. Will she be able to make a comeback? However she clawed back, to close the gap at 12-14.

But HBJ is not slowing down, rather she increased her pace and now leads 17-14.

In the end, HBJ won G2 21-16.

Hard luck for Busanan who has to suffer the injury in this SF.

Sorry to hear that Busanan is injured, she is certainly one of the favourites for gold here. Tell her to take care, still hope to see her at Copenhagen.

Though He BJ won , I feel that her fitness is a bit suspect, esp when the rallies wear on. Frankly, she surprised me today, her best game so far, hope she can carry on the momentum tomorrow.
