A few members have asked me to take photos of my entire racquet collection but I've not really had the time to do so until now. I've tried to gather all my racquets but there are still about 10 racquets missing from these photos as I didn't have time to pick them up from my parents’ house. These include two MP99's, a few Carbonex's/Graphlexes and some lesser known old racquets.

As some of you know, I collect racquets not as an investment, but purely out of interest in racquet design and learning about the different technologies they possess which was an obsession that started when I was a young kid who didn't have the money to buy the latest gear. So whilst most of the racquets I have are in decent condition, it probably wouldn't be on par with those collectors who like to buy and keep their racquets in the same condition they left the factory in as I like to try out the racquets and learn about how they feel/play.

So here's my collection from left to right. Enjoy! :)

Holy crap. That's more rackets in one place than at my club on a busy night.

It's a beautiful looking racquet, simple in it's design yet so iconic. I bought it because of my idol Zhao Jian Hua who was one of the players who inspired me to play. At the time I could not find any information on what the mysterious black racquet he used was, there were no adverts and it wasn't even in the yonex catalogue, well not the one I had anyway. So it wasn't until many years after his retirement that I found out it was a Boron-2.

I've not played with it on court myself, but I've had a few dry swings. It's seems a little heavy overall, but that could be because I'm used to using lighter weight racquets. The weight is distributed quite evenly across the shaft and head - a bit like the Cab 20 but perhaps a touch stiffer than the Cab 20.

It's one of my favourite racquets to play with, along with the 11 and 12. It's such a shame that the LHI and 11 varied quite a bit in terms of balance and feel due to quality control otherwise it would be right up there as one of the best racquets of all time.

Haha... I haven't actually played with a lot of them as I play only with Victor now. Some of them like the Boron-2, Cab 20/21, Boron 200, Original Cab 15 etc are quite rare, partifcularly in good condition and to be honest, I'm too used to playing with the newer racquets it would be difficult to get back to using the old shorter, heavier, oval framed racquets. Although I might bring out my Cab 21 and 20 one day for a bit of nostalgia.

It just occurred to me that if I were to sell all my racquets on BC, it would take up the first 5 pages of the "Buy & Sell" section! LOL:D

You should switch back to Yonex, much less variation between different copies of the same racket.

But crap, that's a lot of rackets! Too bad you're not close by me or else I'll be borrowing one to try every week...
