not sure actually. the zipper are just of average quality. not bad, but also not the smoothest i have used.
after using the bag for more than 3 weeks, here is my thoughts on it. what a nice big bag. i love the space and esp happy that i chose this 3 compartment bag instead of the 2-compartment 9824. i regularly keep around a dozen racket in one of the compartment, i keep clean clothing in another, and then the dirty clothing in the 3rd. i joke that i keep the sweaty t-shirt in the same compartment as the shuttles so the moisture will keep the shuttle fresh. has some truth in it. just don't tell my badminton buddies. each compartment are also quite simple. except for the shoe bag, there are not extra flaps or sub-compartment within each. this makes storage more straightforward and not easy to lose things in the bag. although i did have to spend a minute looking for my AT700 that i stuffed into the wrong compartment and got mixed with the cloths. the side compartment are very good. one small one for the wallet and the other one for other accessories. the shoe compartment is enough for my size 9 shoes but i think will be a bit tight for size 10+ ones. the straps are nice but once in a while do get in the way of the compartment opening. i have to admit that i don't always use both straps at the same time. in US without good public transportation we often drive door-to-door so the chances for long distance walking with it has been slim. the zippers as mentioned in previous post is OK. not the smoothest ones i have used. if they ever get worn or break, hopefully it will be easy to replace. i don't think i will ever run out of space again.
SP, CH, or JP version I was just wondering if there is a difference between SP, CH, or JP version in terms of compartments? I know the quality in material will be different, but I just wondering if the JP version has extra pockets or special straps etc?
i know the bag is obsolete, but is there anyone selling or anywhere i can still get a 7829 yonex bag?? i really like the 9 pack.
I'm quite sure i will be able to get it for you. However I'm not too sure of the price. Whereabouts are you? UK?
I live in the US in California. I've been asking people about that bag, and they've been telling me yonex doesnt make it anymore. I'm assuming that there may be none available unless they're trying to sell whatever of those bags are left.
Hi Adrienne, Yes, 7829 and 7826 are not available in US any more because they are 2008 model. The new 7929 and 7926 are the same bag with different color. Just ask for them. If you still have trouble getting them, contact me and I will see what I can help.
To adonis, Do u have an estimate including the shipping on how much it would be? Is there a webiste, or even better, can you send me any info with the picture?
you're lucky. i happened to stumble across this site http://www.rapidrepair.biz/rr-shop/Yonex-Luggage-p-1-c-353.html looks like a decent price to me. have fun
Got mine today. Couldn't resist getting an orange bag (and like this design better than the 792x). Excuse the poor pics, the bag was still empty and my batteries now are as well . Biggest upgrade over the 772x series is the bottom material which is now the polyester material instead of the canvas material so it's easier to (keep) clean.
Yellow canvas bottom + dirt = problem . New one with the black polyester bottom = . Obviously the JP 712 model was completely polyester as shown by Matt. Too bad it's sold out ... Designwise that was a cross between 77 and 78 series. (http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50700) Must say I prefer the old material of the white accents over the plastic in the 78 series.
The black band/3rd compartment is the polyester material as well, xiaoheng's looked the same material too. The white band in the red/white/black version looks like it's canvas? This one is Made in Taiwan though and has the same zipperpulls as Kwun's. Another 77 vs 78 difference: two handles versus one handle on top to handcarry.
