Yes it was miss lee young suk who lost to Susi Susanti in sudirman cup 1989 (not 1987). She lost the game 10-12 12-10 11-0 But the very next year she defeated Susi Susanti in the 1990 Indonesian Open Finals in Jakarta. I've ordered some DVD's of Lee Young Suk from the All England 1988 and World Championships 1988 (I think...not sure). Looking forward for those DVD's
I'll see you in High Wycombe. I will be attending both High Wycombe sessions (End of this month and end of next month).

Myself and my doubles partner are hoping to attend the one at the end of August, need some decent pre-season training. What sort of standard are the players there? We are good club/lower county sort of standard. Oh and hello all - its my fist post!
Hi Ya You will have no problem. The LIBA Courses are designed to accommodate players from Club to County standard. Usually we have a good mix of standards. You can see a review of a recent course on the liba website. http://www.libauk.com/revue2.htm You will get some decent pre-season training for sure. Welcome to BadmintonForum, mr starface ... Limp Bizkit had a song that reference "chocolate starfish" in one of their hits. Reminded me of them. Have a great time, and take pictures if you can. -dave
Would like to but a bit far afield for me, usually play tourneys in just the surrounding areas like Essex, Herts, Kent, Cambridgeshire etc - having a 1st/2nd round exit after a 4 hour+ drive isnt much fun! (unless your paid for it of course!)
I'm coming from Glasgow, a long way for only 2 games Noticed you are in Essex, so is Matt Ross so it should be easier for you to get there since Matt is going? Maybe.
Sunny was there but he had a leg injury and couldn't take part in todays tourney. But Lee still made him work hard on other shots etc
No Dill it finshed at 4pm....just as well, as my legs were giving way....Lee persuaded me to play as always....never again !!!!!!
I didn't fully recover from my leg pain but I still managed to complete the weekend workshop. I took pain killers provided by the doctor and used deep heat and kept myself going. I avoided playing mini-tournament because of leg pain but lee asked me and another guy who was also injured to practise clear shots without moving. So I did about 1000 - 1500 clear shots (In two days). I also practised around-the-head clear shots. Practising the clear shots really helped me a lot. I concentrated on grip, posture and hitting the shuttles in front of me. After so many clear shots I played clear shots as if I'm playing a drop shot. It became so easy. At the end of the day I was really happy because even though I didn't play games I still got lots of practise and training. It was like one to one coaching session with lee for two hours I can feel myself improving and as my game standard improves my confidence in myself is also improving. I didn't run out of breath this weekend. So I can feel my stamina has improved a bit. My only worry is the pain in the legs. I'm waiting for an appointment with a specialist and hopefully it is not serious. I think I will recharge my batteries and attend the end of august LIBA workshop with full confidence. I'm really looking forward to it. oh by the way I lost 4 kg. I was 80+ Kg before the littleport training now I'm 76+ Kg 4 kgs in a month. Not bad eh
Sounds like a good workout - looking forward to the 3 dayer in High Wycombe and looking to take that tourney title!
