Yeah, and they like almost lost all their encounters to Boe/Mo during those times.

Any update from Mads duo, have they formed a new partnership?

Two new partnerships. Boe with Conrads and Mogensen with Kolding.

From what Steen had been saying about Boe/Mo, seemed like they never got along well off court. They hardly spoke to each other and Boe always stayed in different hotels (away from the official hotel) when they were participating in tournaments.

So it's no surprise. Steen even commented (joked) once or twice that if personal compatibility what made great pairs, Denmark would never have had a great pair at all.

Nothing against Danish players in general nor trying to make a sweeping generalization... but is it just me or has anyone noticed that Danish players are more aggressive in their attitudes on court? Like Boe/Mo, Axelsen, Antonsen... I suppose Madsx2, Pedersen/Juhl, Jorgensen, Gade etc are ok, but still... maybe part of the training or something...

i think Axelsen (or as my son would say, son-of-Axel, they watch too many movies... ) / Antonsen are ok. I'd call them more expressive, but not to the point of being aggressive and rude. Bo/Moe on the other hand, are bad even by Danish standard.

I remember an old interview of Kido/Setiawan back in 09 or 10. They were asked which pair they didn't like to face against?

Their answer is Paaske/Rasmussen, because the Danes were always angry and upset without reasons to their opponents.

    22 Mathias Boe
    Michael Sarfelt

Mathias Boe will play in the Hylo open together with some unknown player, if they clear R1, they will likely face Fajar/Rian. A comeback may be the reason Boe left India? However at age 41, a comeback is not going to be easy.

    Very interesting article:
    https://360badminton.com/news/mathias-boe-to-make-a-comeback-at-the-denmark-open-2021/?amp

Michael Sarfelt is quite a successful business man, not a professional player at all.

Seems like Boe offered Sarfelt to join the Denmark open with him if Sarfelt donated to a charity that Boe and his indian girlfriend sponsored.

    From the linked article:

"Boe said, “I told Michael about the project and offered to play the Denmark Open with him if he donated to the charity. Michael just said, ‘I’ll support your project no matter what’, what a big hearted person. I kept my end of the deal, and now we have entered the Denmark Open.

“Obviously our chances of getting in the draw are very slim, but in case we get in, we will put on a show which Odense has never seen before.”

“Michael is not just an established businessman but also one of the biggest badminton geeks I have ever met,” Boe added."

I just want to say that I always intrigued by Boe and Mogensen. They don’t have the best relationship off court, but on court they’re monstrous.

Carsten Mogensen is inhuman for being able to recover well from that brain aneurysm and the surgery and still be a great player.

And Boe, he always dripping with this effortless, almost villainous aura. I love it when he walks on court while giving the opponent some intense stare. Though his long service is frustrating to see though.

    Evergreen pair, legends.

Wish both of them luck for their future. Boe was coming back for charity and I hope he’ll do it again.
