The Chinese are the biggest winner here in this tourney, they can going back home with all smiles, despite not sending their strongest players, especially with their women's singles and double's turn the table on the more experience and higher ranked opponents.

As for team MAS,we still banking on the same batch of players (namely LCW,KKK-TBH & CEH-WPT) to achieve glory in the international stage.Very dissappointing that the others from the elite squad failed to proved something...needless to say the players from the back up squad...overall performance too far behind:(

That's because in Mandarin, there is no word for "fik". So, the closest pronunciation is to use the word "fei" followed by another word "ke".

Same reasoning for Cantonese, although slightly different implementation.

To them, even if the world goes into pieces the very next day, "BERITA" is always their top priority.....:D:D

That's why for Malays, the greeting is 'Apa khabar?' (What's the news?), the Chinese, it's food (Have you eaten?). For westerners, the individual comes first, 'How are you?'. Don't know about the Indian greetings.

They were good before SF.....they were just too fragile in their defences against TBS/GTC's attacks.........

They need to improve their defences and stabilities in match.....

    Anyway,...well done MHC/TWK.....:D

I watched astro, bad experiece with RTM and TV3 for interuptions before and I would like to comment on the commentators. The RTM ones are so poor that they always say "cantik" (meaning nice) when a shot executed by the winner which actually it was an error by the opposing player which made easy kill for of the bird. And as for the astro commentors, there are two of them one male (John Burges, English based in Singapore) and a Canadian lady. John is really terrible and very unprofessional, bias and too personal with his comments. Always repeating his remarks. He should go for a referesher course in broadcasting. I sometimes switch off the volume when he is broadcasting The lady is better.

Thank your lucky stars you didn't get to share a ride with John Burgess. Some of us and Saina Nehwal had that misfortune last year.:p I often get requests from BC forummers to find something to throw at him if I was in the venue ..... :D

george@chongwei : I think so. One of them is a retired player who likes to use the phrase "how on earth did he/she get the shuttle back".

abedeng : You mean you guys agree with me that J. Burgess is poor? Please tell me more !!
