As a MAS fan, I'm dissapointed that BAM decided to field the combination of CPS&GLY as the XD team. Cps doesn't have that explosive attacking presence like the INA team or CHN or even like the Polish team, not to mention Nathan Robertson of ENG. But overall he is a good player anyway. However looking at the female player, it is a total disgrace to see how an amatuer player can represent a Badminton nation. She is just a reactive player staying put mostly in her front/mid position waiting for the man to do all the running and only waiting for free meal to kill off the shuttle. This critism is not personal but I had a hard time watching the progress of the match when I see other nations have improved by leaps and bounds such as TPE, IND, SIN and HK but our MAS ladies are still stagnant. Its not that we do not have talents, as I've watched several female pairs other than CEH&WPT in the Proton Open that can defence and attack better, eg being the BJSS juniors beating the senior player. One player that caught my attention was Vivien Hoo who play more all rounder that we need for this modern XD games. Please experiment with new pairings and be more creative and daring to manufacture a world beater like when KKK&TBH came into the badminton scene years ago. Sekian terima kasih

You haven't seen the 'real GLY' yet, no offense but you shouldn't tell a player's ability just by one match. Also, GLY's movement is not very good because of a recurring injury to her knee (suffered at the BAC last year where they won, but still not fully healed)

What GLY needs is a huge dose of confidence, I have seen her in the BAC final and the MAS GP Gold where she was playing with huge confidence, she can really kill at the net unlike today where she was making plenty of errors.

I agree with you on CPS though, not enough power.

I think since they brought CPS/GLY to the ball, you have to let 'em dance. This is a great platform to give them more exposure. MAS must continue to show confidence in them otherwise there is no point in the exercise.

If you compare the top XD pairs in the world, GLY is the lousiest among all the players... period. case closed.

i am sure rikrydle comment is not from one match only...anyway after few tournaments which I have chance to see CPS/GLY plays..
i roughly know where to put my expectations for now...of course there are room to move forward....hope by giving them time, they can
    progress more....

This is just my pant up frustration after watching so many matches involving CPS/GLY. I just do not like the way they play and do not think they can go far even though deep down I'm always hoping for them to win. This is the Sudirman Cup, not some BWF circuit where the pride of our nation is at stake. I'm not asking for them to win against any of CHN pairs, KOR, DEN, or even ENG pair, but if they face THA, SIN, POL, RUS, IND its only 50-50 in my opinion. My suggestion is for BAM to assign a XD specialist coach and not use MD or WD coach as the training and strategy to play XD is very different. I've seen how OJJ (CPS's MD partner) play and I like his confidence in court. The combination of OJJ and Vivian Hoo could prove to be a matching pair and provide more trainings, and depth into our XD. BAM please do something before LCW retires and SIN maul us to death.

As for me, the best line up for the match tonight will be

    MS: LCW
    MD: KKK/TBH
    WS:TJY
    WD: CEH/WPT
XD: TBH/CEH or KKK/WPT- better chance than CPS/GLY

MAS' fans should be positive....like it or not CPS/Goh is the best XD MAS has so far...sometimes players can not play the ebst all the times...also the nerves played big part last nite..remember that MAS XD beat INA XD in MAS OPEN so the pressure was on MAS as the win was won by MAS...Richard Manaiky said that during MAS GP Open if MAS XD won the title, it will be big pressure for MAS if the scores are tied...

Even many INA fans also questioned why INA fielded Pia/Frans again as they lost to MAS XD before? It is good for INA as these youngters need to share the burden, not depend our senior players..
Honestly Goh is a good player...dont give up hopes on this pair...

To be frank I rather the schedule for this evening be 1) XD 2)WS 3) WD 4)MD 5)MS.

It's better to be put out of our misery faster if we are not going to win any one of the 1st three matches. At least then MS and MD can rest...hahaha.

Ya, looking at CPS/GLY's perfromance, may be we shd sent in our commonwealth pair of CEH/KKK, but then again it will put a lot of pressure on them to play 2 matches a nite.

Lydia's game last night was so poor in quality as to be embarrassing. She didn't appear to even try very hard. I wouldn't mind a loss to a stronger opponent but at least run to the shuttle. She looked like she had a lead brick tied underneath her shoes.
