    you're right about that... they did look like a couple of heavy (or maybe light/featherweight) boxers giving their all. there were moments when either player looked out of the match, and then surprising us with amazing shots, a string of points or a stupendous come-back :)

    the match looked amazing on tv... what more there?

    As far as I can tell, there was only one mistake made in favour of Lee CW, and it was a very close call, too. As for the others which Bao complained, I think the judgements were correct. Nevertheless, it was all very close. I am all for technology (with line-judges as backup).

    W/O means "walkover".

    The story is that it was a back injury. This close to the Worlds, it's hard to fault someone for being cautious but as the Q/F thread discusses in detail, this happens too often in games between Chinese competitors.
