In the WD, the most possible upset that I can see is
    Schjoldager/Andersen v Tripp/Wright (8*)
I think the other seeds will safely go through.

    In the XD,
    Clark/Kellogg v Laybourn/Juhl (8*)
The other seeds should safely advance.

I agree basically, Gong Wj may stage an upset against Wong considering Wong's poor form in SO.

Hendra/Joko had a gigantic battle with Othsuka/Masuda day earlier while Koo/Chan had an easy match against the Danes. i hope Koo/Chan can raise their game tonite and justify their seeding. same scenario for Tan/Ong and Sudket/Patapol.

Hehe....they scraped through 17-16 in the second set after losing the first set. The third set was tight too. Yet, it was a good experience for them as the Jap pair is technically better (WR 27). Last week, they beat Mohd Tazari/Lin (WR 14), so, anything is possible. Hopefully, they still have the stamina to beat the inconsistent Chan/Koo (who lost to Flandy/Eng Hian last week). If PBSI continues to send them to the high-rated tourneys after the WC (China Open, Indonesian Open, etc), I will expect them to be in the top 10-15 in a year time!

Although I would very much like them to beat the Malaysian pair (Luluk/Alven is still my fav pair right now), it seems that the Indonesian pair is inconsistent at the moment and with the poorer head-to-head record, Chong/Lee has the slight advantage. Of course, it will be great if Luluk/Alven can recover the form which brought them 2 majors late last year :D

Two upsets so far! World number one Xie Xf lost to Li Li in three games while Zhang Jun/Gao Ling lost to the rather unknown Thai pair in MX!

Jiang Yj lost to Wang Chen, 0-2. Mia avenged her defeat over Pi HY , she won easily. The seeded pairs went through for the rest of the matches in MX.

And the bad thing about that is that, with of exception of Boonsak and Salakjit, their surnames are terribly long and complicated.

I don't hope to see more shocking results than those two. It anyway makes the WS top half more interesting.
