To be champion they need to beat the best, I think is good draw for all badminton lover. Time to proof their previous success is not 1 off. Also good time for them to gain some confidence before the mighty China is back.

Don't think so this MAS SS has low standard quality, there're some top-names will participate which means the tournament still competitive and interesting.

Not everything about badminton is about China... how come standard suddenly become low?:cool::cool: we got LYD/JJS, MK/HD, Denmark representatives etc... and of course we also got our MS players.. standard can only become so low if only left orang utan playing baddy in SS and baddy tourneys :D:D:D:D:D

i agree that we should not think that this tournament is low..
i mean, hello? china isn't everything in badminton (though they do have several strong player)..but none of china player now dominates the world ranking (only in MS that LD is topping the chart of )..see that INA, KOR, MAS, DEN is also strong one..

    so..expect more!

If one country does not seem to be supportive by participating as many as tourneys, why should BAM change the schedule to accommodate for that selfish country? Did u see ITF postponing the date for Australian Open just because USA can't make it?

Tennis is more of an individual sport than badminton ^^

For Table Tennis where China dominates a lot more than in badminton, tourneys without China just have 0 attendance...

While this does not apply in badminton, I hope the MO will provide much better games than the disappointing SS Final...

Team China is still missing except 2 pairs of the WD of the Ex.
Are they playing for fun? Interested to know the reason behind it for not sending the team. I don't think funding is a problem for them since economic tsunami doesn't affect them as bad.

As mentioned so many times in several other threads, Team CHN is currently having its annual Winter Camp.

They're back!... Lee Hyo-jung and Lee kyung-won in WD. Watch out for them to kick some butt. I have always liked this pair, as they have shown they are capable of running with the top CHN pairs.
