Anyone know if any of the channels will be playing the Finals ? I noticed there have not been a single video of the malaysia open yet, Must watch Tony and Candra !!!
http://www.rtm.net.my/tv/bi/schedule2.php?date=2007-01-21 MO 2007 - semi final on RTM2 MO 2007 - final on RTM1 you can watch it on video streaming.
The semi-finals are on right now on TVAnts or PPStream. TVAnts seems smoother today although the picture quality is terrible. PPStream keeps stalling. PPLive doesn't have anything anymore. It doesn't even turn up GDTV on a search.
I don't see it. As far as I know, RTM streams itself for free but it seems to me that that would slow down with an increase in users. PPStream and TVAnts are P2P, though, so the number of users should improve the quality. The broadcast on those systems is Guangdong Sports.
Can anyone help me out? I can't find gdtv on tvants ...nothing comes up on the search, and i seem to only have cctv5 and 2 other channels i dont know of
Guys, please let us know.. ...if there are changes or new updates for the Finals webcasts..thanks in advance!
I don't see anything on the schedules for CCTV-1 or CCTV-5. GDTV still lists the finals broadcast as running from 2PM to 6PM Beijing time (GMT+8h). Use the links in Post #4 to get GDTV on TVAnts or PPStream.
Well I suppose that isn't impossible. RTM does claim to have that kind of streaming. Consider what it means, though. If every viewer is downloading live video from one lil' ole server in Malaysia all at the same time, it's going to be very slow. The P2P software means that once one person has downloaded a packet of video, it is then shared and can be downloaded by other users who will also share, so you are downloading your video from 50-60 other badminton fans, some of whom are in your own country and thus separated from you by fewer bandwidth bottlenecks. That has to be the better option. Try RTM1 if you like, but I get no video at all from it and they only have an hour of coverage scheduled for today.
well..i read at the forum under one thread..it says that it starts at 2pm.. but i think each hour there is an interval for 5 mins news break...
Well, it looks to me as if you can save yourself the trouble for now. TVAnts brings up a a CCTV broadcast when you select Guangdong Sports and PPStream has a broadcastwith the GDTV logo but it isn't badminton. As for the Chinese, it shouldn't matter if you click on the PPStream link in the above post. If you haven't installed PPStream yet, you'll need to do that from a web page in Chinese or click on this link.
do i need to install anything b4 i can watch gdtv?? i remembered i'd watched gdtv b4... but forgotten where did i got that link...
