My calls (as always, winners in bold)

    MS
Kennethv Park SH - PArk is going to upset the match !!as he beat lin dan yesterday
Peter v Chen Yu - Peter to take it in a squeaker
Chen Jin v Chen Hong - Chen Jin's time may have come
Lee CW v Bao Chunlai - Pressure on LCW but also incentive to avenge last defeat to BCL. Plus home crowd

    WS
Zhu Lin v Hwang HY - Zhu has a slight edge
Nedeltcheva v Yao Jie - ya jie definitely
Xu Huaiwen v Wong MC - WMC is in the zone. Call for an upset here!sure wong mew choo definitely!!wong mew choo is improving
Hirose v Yippy - Yip will take it by the slimmest of margins

    XD
Widianto/Natsir v Laybourn/Juhl - Nova & Butet seem to have recaptured their form of old
    Zheng Bo/Gao Ling v Mateusiak/Kostiuczyk - Logically, the Chinese
Zhang Jun/Zhao TT v Nielsen/Andersen - Chinese will roll on
    Robertson/Emms v Marissa/Limpele - Indonesian is in top form!so they can win

    MD
Tony/Chandra v Tan BS/Ong SH tan & ong should win!!they upset world world champion
    Jung JS/Lee YD v Blair/Clark - Outcome is obvious
Koo KK/Tan BH v Sakamoto/Ikeda - The home boys stroll into the semis
Kido/Setiawan v Eriksen/Lundgaard - Old guys finally meet their Waterloo

    WD
Gao/Huang v Du/Zhao - Give it to the veteran pair
Rani/Endang v Hwang YM/Kim MJ - I think the Koreans will take this one
    Vita/Gresya v Jiang/Li - INA pair ona a huge roll
Kimiko/Reiko v Yang/Zhang - Chinese pair put any thoughts of an upset away

The MS final of CM 2006 was Gade vs. Jonassen and winner was Gade... Get your facts straightened up.:p CY didn't even played Gade in that tournament.

I hope your bad feeling was a result of a bad day and not because you had very good intuition.

Ok, I will tell you why he would not lose to BAO tonight so that you wil vanquish any bad feelings furthermore.

    1. A very strong parochial crowd who would put the tremours through BAO - BAO will be unsettled every time he gets in front.

    2. LCW has not really been tested in the last 3 rounnds with easy games (I watched him last night and he spent so little, clearly taking it easy for what is to come). BAO was running a lot and smashing a lot yesterday

    3. LCW is working on his tactics and set plays with coach Li MAO -- BAO would not be able to play the same game he did with young KBH, almost attacking KBH incessantly. LCW knows how to control BAO - he knows how work him as well as attack this guy

    4. The familiarity of home ground for LCW is also important - the comfort and the security of home

    5. He will feel obligated to win for his fans who would be behind him, the adrenalin will flow --- he would know he is in a real game.

    6. His records have always been good against BAO, and I think point 3 is the factor. BAO, at times, is lost when he plays LCW coz LCW makes him work so hard (BAO is so used to bullying the likes of KBH, it is now the reverse).

If am wrong here, I will not post for a month ! This is my bet.:D

Did he even get to play against Peter GADE? I thought he played Hafiz & Kenneth Jonassen during the Copanhagen Masters?

Of course you'll support Chen Yu because you always support Chinese players.

winning a tournament is partly skill, and also partly luck.

LCW definitely have a bit of both, who'd expect both LD and TH get knocked out in the 1st and 2nd rounds? this pretty much eliminated the two biggest hurdle to the championship. now let's see if LCW luck continues. maybe he is destined to succeed with his title defense.

Ah, I also think that 'something' is going to happen today. For me, I think...
Kenneth, Peter, Chen Hong and Chong Wei will win in their respective matches.

And they refused to sign autographs after the match. Cai/Fu must in extremely sucky mood.
