Are We In Chit-Chat? Um, I'm trying to figure out who or what this Introduction thread is still introducing
I may want to revisit Kelantan, specifically Kota Bahru, again. The last time I went there, as part of my 2 weeks holiday-on-wheels circumventing the whole west coast and then the whole East coast of West Malaysia, was 9 years ago. The drive from Kuantan by the old road near the sea from Kuantan to Kota Bahru was simply beautiful. Some of Malaysia's best beaches-and not spoiled by too many tourists-can be found there. There was a beach called the Beach of Passionate Love. I wonder if they have changed the name? Any suggestions on where to stay, what to see and eat, and when is the giant top-spinning contest? Is the road across to Penang well travelled? The last time I drove from Kota Bahru to Penang was uncomfortable, as there was so little traffic, and it gave me a feeling of 1950s communist insurgencies that I imagined I might be ambushed around every corner. I find the Kelantanese very friendly and sometimes I feel sad why they are being left behind. Kota Bahru was a much bigger town than Kuantan 30 to 40 years ago. Today it is smaller than Kuantan and what is worse it is losing its best brains to other cities and states.
Off topic-Uhm.. ..actually the content of my post, in that thread, i got them mostly from Wikipedia.com..The part abt my first-hand experience, that's the only part which i've experienced.... Abt your inquiry on whether i'm a malay or not??..hmm, i'll let you figure that one out..
The name of that beach has been changed. Beach of Passionate Love in Malay is Pantan Cinta Berahi. It's now Pantai Cahaya Bulan. Suggestion on where to stay? You can stay at Grand Riverview Hotel, Renaissance Hotel, New Pacific Hotel and other hotels. Too much to list. Just go around the town, you will find myriad of hotels there. Don't worry. About what to eat, you can choose many kind of food here, either traditional or up-to-date food. There's no problem about getting the food here. Even along the road you can find it. Kelantaneses are friendly? As a Kelantanese and on behalf of others, thanks for the compliment. Hahahah
It's because, I have to go buying it at Pasar Besar PM. It's not always I go there, that's why I can't often eat it. To eat it daily, maybe I should try making it on my own.
u can stay with my family there are many food here...u dont know what to choose at the end... do revisit Kelantan...Kelanatan now is more developed with many hypermarkets...dont believe everything u watch via the tv...plz come here...then u'll know the truth...
Starting from 2008, Kelantan will have its own airline company, Amrose Air, with Sultan Ismail Petra Airport as its hub. Amrose Air plans to service both domestic and international routes, with the international destinations including Bangkok and Jeddah.
