I surely believe that my idol Ashwini Ponappa / Jwalla Gupta will win their match today in straight sets convincingly.

I think you need to have more faith in them. I believe that Tan Kian Ming is the next big thing in both XD and MD events.

Bro, you need to have more faith in them, they are young but managed to beat no.1 seeded pair from Greater China (current world rank no.9 & runner-up in 2015 World Championship) and that was a big milestone in their badminton career. FYI, LOW Juan Shen (22 yrs old) & TAN Kian Meng (21 yrs old).

Kim Hye Rin / Kim Jae Hwan just lost the first match 17-21 to an unknown Chinese Taipei XD player. Can they win the second and third set?

Chan Peng Soon, Goh Liu Ying, Tan Wee Kiong & Tommy Sugiarto skipped Macau Open GPG to play for Muar City BC in Malaysia Purple League (Season 2).

Quite wasted, coz GPG level are easier to earn ranking points for Olympic qualification.

I was watching the match of Ko Sung Hyun / Shin Baek Cheol live and what a shock I got. They won the first set of the match after struggling 23-21. Then they lost the second set 13-21 to an unknown Chinese Taipei pair of Lin Chia Yu / Wu Hsiao Lin. Oh my god. Can they win the third set? Looks like today is really the day of the underdog.

The 18-yr-old Lin Guipu is off to a good start with a surprise win in the opening round against a senior established player, Ajay Jayaram, in two straight sets,21-11,21-17. Hope he can emulate Shi Yuqi who did reasonably well at the CHN Open PSS beating K Tago and Lee DK.

Point 2 - I dont think he ever got a bronze / semi-finalist with Lai Pei Jing yet. They played together for the first time in Jeonju Korea Masters in early November and got knocked out in the 1st round. They played together for the second time in Maybank International and got knocked out in the quarterfinals.

Point 3 - I dont think so either. They played together for the first time in Jeonju Korea Masters did not get past the qualifying rounds. They played together for the second time in Maybank International and got defeated in last 8 as well.

Having said that, i'm looking forward to see better results from him and his partners

After induction of Tan kim her, doubles department seems to me going down. Even before his arrival, this WD pair won canada open this year. What happened now?

Lost in the first round. Jwala looking like a fat wrestler. Lol

Sorry I got the wrong result. The MD player who won the bronze medal in Malaysia Open is Chooi Kai Ming / Ow Yao Han. Then the XD player who won the bronze medal in Malaysia Open is Chow Mei Kuan / Tan Chee Tean.

I am watching the match at court 4 live now and what a shock I got. Another tough fight going on as for now. The newly formed XD young pairing of Tan Kian Ming / Lai Pei Jing lost to the Indonesian highly ranked XD in the first set 21-23 but then they won the second set 24-22. Wow amazing. Really a tough fought match. I am still wondering whether the Malaysian XD still have energy to play on as bit have just won their respective WD and MD matches earlier on. Very exciting match. The Malaysian young XD are attacking and smashing non stop to win. The thing is can they sustain their energy having to do double duties.

Although Tan Kian Ming / Lai Pei Jing may have lost their XD match today but both already gave a tough fight before losing to Edi Subaktiar / Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja. Plus doing double duties is also not easy for them. Tan Kian Ming is still trying to adjust well to his XD and MD duties.

I also wanted to congratulate Lin Guipu for winning the match today over a highly ranked player. I remembered Ajay Jayaram have even reached the finals of Korea Open this year and got the second place. Wow today really seems like the day of the underdog.

Whatever it is I certainly believed that this newly formed MD player Tan Kian Ming / Low Juan Shen, XD player Tan Kian Ming / Lai Pei Jing and WD player Chow Mei Kuan / Lai Pei Jing have a bright future. This young pairs are just newly formed and it may take time to see them win medals but right now in this tournament itself I have already started to see good results.
