Shi Yuqi surprised me, doing better than I expected. Yeah, some stamina issue, esp in G2 with many unforced and uncharacteristic errors, and slowing down in the latter half of the decider but managed to close it out.
No idea. This is the first time I watched their match. They are wearing all black jerseys while the others blue-white or red-black.
LYC lately looks more frustrated, easy mistakes. maybe because of LJH inability. Either way, will they open their shorts if they win GPG tomorrow lol..
Han Yue has improved quite a fair bit, a different player, it seems. Frankly, I noticed it in her game with Pai Yu Po in R2 but wasn't sure then if it was just one-off. Next, she beat Busanan which I didn't get to see, and now this match against Nidaira Natsuki who also did well disposing of her three previous round opponents. Good job, Han Yue. Keep it up.
Thammasin Sitthikom is such a smart player now, dictating the rallies and anticipating a lot, except for G2 where he's more error-prone.
I can only depend on SportZone (works for me in Google Chrome as an extension) - chrome-extension://cmeikikackmjcmgkcgpnangjlnicecml/player.html?videoId=0&embedType=1&ref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fresults%3Fsearch_query%3Dbadminton%2Bjapan%2Bopen%2B2019%2Blive
Good, Also found it on JustFun (works in Firefox with Adobe Flash enabled) - http://www.zhuafan.live/54659 . Run in fullscreen if you don't want to see those popups.
In terms of technique and tactic he's currently the best for Thai MS in my opinion. He was good since his junior days but got injured and that held him back for years. He actually won All Thailand 2 years in a row now beating Kantaphon Wangcharoen last year and Khosit Phetpradab this year. The thing is his stamina isn't good so when it goes to 3 games he doesn't last. lol
