watching them play today.. in the Asia mixed team event... makes me sad. I have a feeling they have peaked.. Pearly's injuries are taking their toll ...and Tinaah seems to be affected by her teammate's performance.....
sigh.... as always unrealized potential.. the story of Malaysian badminton

Underperformed so badly. Even IND youngsters are playing consistently. Too much playing around during camp?

Crashed out of the all england in the first round. They looked exhausted by the 3rd set. The fire seems to have died out of this pair....

Only hope is for a good form at next year's Olympic. Before OG, should expect nothing.

Others have improved but they remain stagnant.

My observation of this pair is very yoyo and moody type. lol
Need to buck up. Else, there's no way to win another s750. Or even a s500 or s300

Ehh, apart from the Swiss Open I would think they actually played up to their standard. They got overrated after their French Open victory when both Pearly and Thinaah were having the performance of their lives.

Pearly is not playing well and the pair lives and dies by Pearly. I wouldn't press the panic button yet but I do hope they can show more consistency in challenging the top pairs.

The ones who aren't playing up to standard are our World Champions.

Aftermath of Malaysian Masters 2023...they looked like they are back on track despite losing in the final. Let's hope they keep the momentum

For women doubles 211 shots and match ending in 2hrs is madness. The women should play with faster shuttles. Just make the shuttles heavier by 1 to 1.5 grams.

Write a petition to bwf to change wd to 15pts or faster shuttles. Like tennis. ;)

Maybe female players should test shuttle speeds for themselves. Do I understand correctly that shuttle speed is tested by male players?

I complained..they have peaked and on the slide..boy am I glad I was wrong.
I disagree that we should change the WD format ..I think this discipline have more diversity than the other 4...super fast net plays to highlight your accuracies and reflex....long rallies to test stamina...and recently, high quality smash plays to test strength...love it

The pair lost to the world number one today in the Korean Open. Which is no surprise. But the way the match played out, they could have won this one for the first time. If not for Pearly's numerous errors. Thinaah was at her normal brilliant self, Pearly had her moments too but it was evident that she is not even close to 100% fit. Maybe she did not fully recover from any of her injuries.

Is Pearly always carrying an injury? I think the only time she wasn't covered with tape from head to toe was in French Open when they took the title.

This pair's current problem is shot quality. It's noticeably down in each subsequent tournaments.

Has this pair reached their maximum in terms of skill. If yes and without consistency, they won't go far.
