Sorry to all the snooker fans, myself included, but they could reduce the snooker coverage which takes up like 30% of their programming.

On a sidenote: if you see how dark the stands are at the AE, how hard can it be to smuggle in a videocamera and record matches ourselves. Or at the German Open for that matter where it's not even forbidden. I've done it, speedy has done it at the Swiss Open for years ... if the BWF does nothing at least the "community" can put in their own effort to cover events ...

Agreed! Unbelievable, unexplainable amount of airtime for snooker. Even lawn bowls get's more coverage than badminton :D. If you want snooker go watch the BBC :p

Oh yeah, I forgot about lawn bowls. Snooker + some lawn bowls + ski jumping in the winter = Eurosport.

I also saw the Darts World Championship.

Or ski jumping in the summer  ...

Ah yes, Fight Club. Sometimes they showed the Sumo tournaments as well, quite enjoyed that since they skipped right on to the next match (live it takes forever). I remember from then that apparently the german commentators who did the martial arts sucked, while we here in Holland have one of the best you could wish for .

If you're interested to find out more of the results of the petition google for 'sherdog eurosport petition', not sure if it started on sherdog but that's where I found out and joined ... as I said many moons ago (which was apparently 2003 already :D). Don't know if it mattered that martial arts are very popular in France where Eurosport HQ is ;) ...

Right, the Summer Grand Prix. The time spent showing ski jumping reruns could be used for some other sports, like, I don't know, badminton.

One thing I enjoyed last summer on Eurosport was the Speedway World Cup. Nice stuff to watch.

i wonder if BWF is just too greedy. i mean, seriously, i don't think the networks are paying that much money for darts championships. the darts world federation must be giving out the stuff for free and thus the networks air them. BWF should just do the same, suck it up.
