they are and are marketed as such to be a premium product. I realize they are only racquets and soft goods but like anything else there will be a market for it as there are products in the lower $ end that other companies cover. You got your Walmarts and then you got your Neiman Marcus.

I do not own a M73 Ultimate racquet. But as far as Li Ning racquets I have owned, you can tell by paintjob quality, grommets quality, laser etching clarity, and an overall feel test when you actually play with the racquet.

Fake racquet generally feels very "vibraty" and the shaft is quiet flexible...

On a side note, DO NOT always rely on the Li Ning Authenticity Serial # sticker to authenticate the racquet. This is because in the past year or two, fake racquet manufacturers have figured out Li Ning's authentication algorithms for the sticker codes, and therefore by going online to verify the code, the result will most of time be GENUINE, but in reality the racquet is FAKE.

    My 2 cent...

Try the Victor TK-6000 . I think it feels similar to the M73...

Also if you are really deciding on getting the M73, try a M73 from a friend or even burrow from Trinhity (he is platinum Li Ning sponsored player).

After you get a feel of the authentic M73 and how it plays, then you can differentiate fake from real, or find if the M73 really is worth the $ for you, or to find a racket that is similar to the M73

Apparently the package was separated! The racquet and bag was available for purchase individually at www.shopbadmintononline.com

Looks like they are sold out now but maybe more will come in the future! :)
