Of course you miss the obvious and simple explanation, that they indeed could have injuries :p . . .

Thats for prevention and it has nothing to do with injuries....been told that LD hesitated playing another tournaments in the beginning but I believe that CBA asked him to play HKG open since he skipped it last year and it is true that KHG Open organizer did ask them to show up.
The fatique is a real reason and LD has won everything and he is not young anymore...I cant see him to play many tournaments in a row..
the only problem for China is that for Olympic qualification, it will be tough to have top 4 are from china, more likely china will have 2 MS for Olympics instead of 3..if LD decides not to play full tournaments nexy year plus he has CBL from february till April.

Lately I read his news that he will be gunning for the London 2010 GOLD, so I think he will do everything under his control to qualify. I also think that CHN will try to make their top 3 MS (LD, CJ and CL) occupy the top 4 rankings so that all of the 3 CHN players will qualify for London 2010...

Anyway, that's the wishful thinking from the CHN side... it may not be that easy to manipulate the world rankings...

LD has to be very careful now. A year before the 08 olympic, ZN had her knee injured and they all thought she will miss the Games. She did not because she is more stubborn than an old donkey, but I am sure they all realize in the CHN team that from now on they must walk on eggs.

I might add, some injuries develop slowly, at first they are just uneasiness, but without the proper care they grow into something incapacitating.

I think an opposite. Family may bring another interests in his life. So many years to pass a shuttle from right to left - how much he can?
So or another, I'm not sure I will applaud him in OG 2012. World need new champion.

You never fail to entertain me.

Yes, LD is very afraid. He afraid to hurt LCW feelings again, seeing him crying in the corner after defeating him at AG. That's heart breaking you know? :p

Relax, I am just kidding. :D

All athletes at this level carry injuries of some kind. It is just facts of life. There is no need to fake anything. It's a judgement call. Certainly, what happened was not good to the fans in Shanghai, Hong Kong and around the world over the Internet or cable.

But let's face it. LD is beyond collecting Super Series titles, unlike some people. Both LD and CY are in maintenance mode for London 2012. CY, and perhaps LD, should have shut down after the Asian Games. Only the obligation to sponsors forced them to show up.

On the bright side, thank God for OG qualifying. We shall see some great matches starting next May:)

yes some of these athletes do carry injuries of some kind.

but in this case its quite obvious the decision was not from the players,

    maybe chen jin only.

this was observed by coaches and bc member who was present during hko 10.

it is nothing but a joke to say LD was afraid of LCW. Don't make this forum human board.
