He has always been polite to me even though there was a bit of nudging each other for fun. But he was never rude - so please do not insult a guy like him.

The outcome of a match is not always determined by skill level, esp under NSS.
PSH's probably LD's most feared opponent because he has a positive head-to-head record over LD.
It's more to do with play style. PSH's game makes it very difficult for LD (and other CHN MS) to get on to his A game. The strategy to beat CHN MS is to deactivate them by not allowing them to play their best.Problem is CHN MS A game is highly dependent on their opponents to feed them into their game.So even opponents with relevant skills but no big weapons like RS,KL and NTM, have often troubled them.(It's a matter of time before NTM beat a CHN MS.)
PSH's normal game is naturally anti-CHN MS A game so he does not have to specially strategise to make them lose. This contrasts with LCW's very diverse A game.LCW's A game is not dependent on his opponents to trigger it.LCW has to start the engine himself and that's why LCW has to initiate and take the risk of dictating play to win. This means LCW has to do more pre-match thinking but it also means he has greater control over the outcome of a match since he's the one to pull the trigger. With accuracy of course.

Lin Dan will win but it will be a tough fight...like all previous fights. It will go to 3 sets and the crowd will be cheering for Lin Dan....( add oil X 10000000000000 ) It will be a repeat of the Thomas Cup duel....but Lin Dan will win....he is ready for Park. He knew his game very well. Park will struggle but I can only say it will be very very close match.

The mentally tough PSH is self-motivated and self directed. He does not need to be pushed from outside, unlike LD who keeps on looking at and for LYB when he is in touble, as PSH is controlled from within. PSH is in total control of his emotions. PSH is calm and relaxed under pressure situations. PSH is ready for the action.

    Aiyah Indra's new strategy.
Encourage PSH first to finish LD off.
Then TH has one obstacle less! ;)

No...because Chinese players usually don't perform well in front of their home crowd.

Sometimes the home advantage can turn out to be a disadvantage, especially if the stakes are high enough in a big event like the Olympics. The Chinese players carry heavy expectations of the whole country. I sense that the Chinese players are experiencing absolute sheer fear and terror at the thought of performing in front of millions of fans who expect them to win. The home crowd's expectations could prove disruptive - any Chinese player who fails will endure "some degree of private or public humiliation" in the words of local media. Home advantage will turn into a double-edged sword.

    So, PSH will win:)

nice to see u r energized again. I know u got a long rest since TH was more or less in hibernation. First thing first, let see if TH get pass WCH. WCH is a hard worker and TH is not. Could TH's trickery help him to last 3 sets? This fever TH had is a blessing to him, it gave him an escape clause to use if he fail to reach the Semi. Just another new 'why TH lose' excuse we haven't dream up of yet. That boy is mastery in excuses.

Second, it seem TH losing to PSH comforts u better than losing to LD. Is this a new way for the TH fans to get out of the LD-TH rivalry confrontation? :p

In term of fear and terror, my view is that LD benefited from the spats with LHI/Li Mao at 08 KO and with JXP at home. It toughened him up the same way it toughened TH up with his well known misbehaviors.

PSH expectedly was absolutely no match for Lin Dan who totally outclass with a supreme performance as a warmup for the finals.

    PARK is disappointing.

Then i went to check the score 21-8, 21-11, an easy romp for LD, PSH's knees were really trembling, as expected!. Even Ng Wei (21-16, 21-13) had stolen more points from LD than PSH did. The best point lead by PSH was only 2 points, LD biggest leads were 13 and 10. Day and nite.

    Player Statistics
CHN LIN Dan Game 1 Game 2
biggest scoring run without change of service 5 6
    biggest lead 13 10
biggest come back to win 0 2
    service faults 0 0
KOR PARK Sunghwan Game 1 Game 2
biggest scoring run without change of service 1 2
    biggest lead 0 2
biggest come back to win 0 0
    service faults 0 0

If i had LD's legs, i could have beaten PSH myself:p:D:cool:

James, the pilers-on are littered all across multiple threads on BC, having "I told you so" sessions. Some, I guess just can't resist putting in a needle or two. Some need to grow up. Some need to learn about something called "grace" (win with it, lose with it). Here's the best thing though, we're not even anywhere near the final yet, so those who are crowing now may have crowed too soon. Be cool:)
