Once again LD proves to be unbeatable in big matches. Despite a wide-based Malaysian home support, LCW simply could not make much headway against LD in the TC semi finals against China. He managed to collect 17 points in the first game but was completely outplayed in the second, given only a token 8 points by LD. LD grew stonger and stronger mentally as the match wore on, ignoring the vociferous cheering from Malaysian fans and supporters. He had his mentor, the famous Tang sifu, whose nickname "The Thing", suggested that he must be out of this world during his heydays. LCW later confessed that "his condition was equal to Lin Dan's but that the China ace was better prepared". In other words, physical fitness had nothing to do with his loss, most certainly it must be the mental preparedness that made LD more superior at that point in time. Maybe when The Thing is not around, that would signal the start of the decline of LD!
I just can't resist taking his photos. He was just smashing! If you look carefully, in one of the pics, Haru was trying to 'shoot' LD too (but I don't know whether you've met Haru before since you were not there with us.) In the 4th pic too, I could see 1984Allengland and his partner Vincent in the front row among many Malaysian supporters!
