Lin Dan - LCW match causes another Death

Sad. I couldn't breathe during the rubber set of these three matches:

1. LD vs LCW

2. FHF/ZN vs GVS/TWK

3. FHF/ZN vs Kim/Kim

 

Obviously, he was rooting for LCW and when Lin Dan forced deuce at 18-20, he thought LCW was under threat again but was ecstatic when LCW finally won 22-20. That's when his heart attack struck, I supposed.

I remember a similar incident occurred in Malaysia during the London Olympics 2012 Lin Dan - LCW Gold Medal Match, apparently another LCW fan. CMIIW.

 

I was also on edge during the Lin Dan - LCW semifinal clash, esp in the rubber set.

Less so during the MD Final as I didn't expect Fu Haifeng/Zhang Nan to win but at the last lap in G3 all the way to deuce when it seemed CHN has a chance to take it, I was quite tense.

In the FHF/ZN - Kim/Kim semifinals, I've written off CHN when they fell far behind in the decider, only when CHN kept chasing and closed the gap that I tensed up more in disbelief than anything and kept shaking my head and applauding at the same time when the final point was won.

The Lin Dan - Srikanth third set was also quite a tense affair and I only relaxed when Lin Dan suddenly pulled off the final few points to close out the match.To me, it was a scare that Lin Dan gave me.

 

Anyone with heart condition, please don't forget to take extra meds when watching these tight rubber matches...
