I hope it won't be down the hill for Lin Dan from now on. He is not in form, but I think he might get back to his top after competing in the All-England and Swiss Open, after he gets his match fitness.

If it goes down the hill, what top 2 matches can we happily wait for, unless a new star suddenly appears that starts winning titles, are consistent and can take care of veterans like PG, Taufik, etc.

    Consider this :

Lin Dan is not match fit, so he has to win by 2 sets. If it drag to 3 sets I am sure he will lose.

LCW is in good physical condition. 3 sets, no problem and will still win. He is also giving the spectators money worth.

Is this against LCW only, or in general?

At this moment, the condition that he is in now. It's too risky for him. Maybe he can't last 3 games. We will see how he performs against PG later.

My feeling would be that LCW is the only person who would be able to take him in 3 games anyway... if he loses to PG then he's in a worse condition than I thought.

What to look for in the next match involving LD vs. LCW

For those who are looking fw to a match of LD and LCW in the upcoming TC and expect it to be a "make or break" encounter, don't bet on it much. Or i should say, don't judge too much from it..
Remember back in 2008 TC, when LCW embarrassed LD in the Semifinal Rd. in straight games (CHN went on to win the Cup anyway)......But, oops, guess what happened 3 months later that same year..
And as far as i recall, in that same year, the first encounter between the 2 players didn't occur until the Swiss Open (after the AE) Final Rd. where LD totally owned LCW in 2 games..

    ...

    Well.

Despite PG playing very well, I think the it was more of a LD loss. So many unforced errors and a very lackadaisical attitude. Lin Dan did not seem to be motivated at all... yet he still seemed very sure that he was going to win.

LD lost in the quarters of swiss open 2010

You Lin Dan fans are too over confident Lin Dan will win the Swiss Open 2010.
He was just knocked out in the quarter finals by Gade! So much for being the undisputed world's best player! c'mon, if he's so great, how come he lost to an old man?:D

What!! Lin Done was knocked out by vintage Gade? Oh lucky LCW did not take part if not if he reaches the final, again no-show from Lin Done.:D:D

Then they will find the same lame excuse of ah... LCW won it because LD wasnt there... and so on.

    Lucky you LCW.:p

why u say I dunno alot... U don't even know me somemore can make that assumption.... somemore so ego think I was talking to you? you not the only person here lah....
Anyway, I hope the tiger in Lin Dan comes out of the shell coz he seems to be the only player who's been able to win big tournaments consistently for China. Coz we wanna see some great fights between him and the other top players.
Somemore it does not fit his image to lose to old dog gade.... Anyway, congrats to Gade for his win tonight.

So what exactly is happening to LD???

Is he unfit, not 100%?
or is it just that he's over confident... (which i think is not true because he lives on his confidence when playing)
or is it to do with the national team and LYB ?

I am a LD fan.... but i'm quite disappointed with his performance this yr... :(
