Not sure if the exhibition wasn't advertised properly or something else, there was only a small number of audience,, and mainly children. It should be better than that.
I hope LD retires after 2016 rio olympics.I cant digest his first round exit.Plz LD no more first round exit
LD is the GOAT.No one can doubt that ever. But these pathetic 1st round exits of may favourite player pisses me most.hope,he can bounce back and shut up the doubters
I think Lin Dan was in mood to play the AUS Open one week after winning the prestigious Sudirman Cup and then taking part in the Yonex Legends' Vision promotion in Beijing. But that's a poor excuse, he has to set his priorities right and strike an optimal balance without underestimating whatever is required of him once he's decided to make a comeback and aim for Rio. Luckily, the OG cycle has only just begun, there's still ample time for him to make the necessary adjustments. It's best for him to realize the problems he has to overcome and any shortcomings he might face or overlook as early as possible. Suffering four defeats in less than half a year must be the worst record in his career so far. Fortunately, he was well prepared both physically and mentally at the Sudirman Cup which he couldn't afford to screw up as it was a major team championship that matters more than any individual titles except the WC and the OG that are just as important as the team majors.
Firstly, credit to Viktor, he seriously played some excellent badminton, genuinely don't think i've seen him that aggressive before. His foot work was faster than ever, something I always he needed to work on. Being a tall guy often means his movement is more sluggish, but he really worked Lin Dan Lin Dan was back to his defensive play style that we witnessed at All England. I watched their match and it was really frustrating to watch Lin Dan no attack at all. He came back from JOJ in Malaysia SSP, and showed that he's able to up the pace. But in the decider, he made no attempt to come back. He genuinely just didn't seem like he wanted to play badminton. Movement wasn't slow, but he just didn't make the effort to retrieve the trickier shots. Seems more like a problem of will over capability. Regardless, like you've put quite nicely, he's still got plenty of time to adjust and get his mind screwed on right for Rio. But if he simply can't continue in this direction if he doesn't want Chen Long to continously get the upper hand. In all seriousness, Lee Chong Wei seemed to be in much better form compared to Lin Dan at this moment. I suppose his ban is a blessing in disguise.
