Wow. No yonex press conference for announcing the sponsorship? ;)

Maybe the announcing was delay because of the deal in the sponsorship ?

What I know is Yonex wants to sign LD but Li Ning is putting pressure on the National Team trying to stop it. LD already has several post on his weibo (Chinese version of twitter) complaining about a "certain" company.

My coach who also works in the badminton industry in Taiwan said he heard LD wants $3M USD/year multiyear deal with Li Ning since Li Ning is paying NBA star Dwyane Wade a multiyear deal worth 60M, so LD doesn't think he is asking too much. But Li Ning rebuffed, LD then wants to take the business elsewhere. Supposedly Yonex is willing to pay up (don't know how much).

Anways, you can put this in the rumour mill but with LD's weibo post, it's obvious there are some bad blood going on behind the doors, hope they sort it out.

Class match today, congrats to Lin Dan.

I'm a fan of LCW, always will be, but i think the greatest compliment I can pay Lin Dan is i've watched literally half as much badminton since Lin Dan went into semi retirement. :p Great character

And I suspect he may stuff Chen Long in the final :)

Also i think Lin Dan misses the yonex rackets. Come in from the fold, all is forgiven :p :p

LoL. He wants cash - if Yonex pays, he'll use Yonex. If LN does, he will use that....I really dont think he has much of a preference brand-wise

You're right, but i remember the faces he pulled playing with the li ning rackets first time round, it took him a whole tournament before he was getting the shuttle in and he was fiddling with the racket

He's starting his own brand name - I saw the insignia LD on his racket when he was playing the
pathetic LCW in Incheon Asian games.

Never count him out as he's no doubt the greatest of all time. Still, I suspect that he might concede a walkover.

I am referring only to the semi at Incheon, LCW had LD by the throat in the 1st set and in the rubber
set he lost badly under 10 points.

Sometimes in a game like this , people make mistake, make too many mistakes, lost too many points, no choice, cannot blame Lee Chong Wei!

LD humiliate LCW with his trademark cross court smash. LCW may get away with those casual clears against other players but not LD.

Ya I'm rather certain he got used to it - and taking a whole tournament to get the shots in is rather bad, honestly :D

    2014 Super Dan

The 2008 Super Dan won by power smashes. Super Dan appeared again in 2014. This time, he was the Super Dan of defense.

Was that the best defensive effort we've witnessed in a badminton match? I can't believe a 30 year old can move like that. I thought only 18 year olds move like that.
