I think you really should apply for a coach position in BAM, PSBI or whatever it call in Denmark. It is a pain to learn that beating LD is so simple with so much evidence and yet none of them have figured it out.

i have to tell ye333 that PJSWIFT is also applying for that job too, lol.
A perfect combo to replace Misbun and Rashid.

Hey, does that mean if I consume the green, pink and silver ones I can triple up my pace to beat LD? :D

i advise against mixing these potions together, we never know the side effect(s). The pace maybe triple boosted but the subject player may experience the urge to jumping racket throwing:D:p

    Nonsense!!! We need Ronald Susilo!!!

    Since LD2009 < LD2004 (circa ye333) and
    LD2004 < Ronald Susilo 2004 (circa OG2004 (in 2 games)).

There are many ways to skin a cat (SPCA approval not withstanding). Just in case, RS did not beat LD in OG2004. LD's impatience got the better of him. LD2009 will annihilate LD2004 by just being multi-dimensional and more patient.

I would say LD is now a lonely lion in the wild, where there is

no Morten Frost, no Zhao Jianhua, no Xia Xuanze, no Chen Hong, no PG in his best (now he's too old), no Taufik at the time of 2004 Olympic (he's a married father now), no LHI, and no LCW before 2008 Beijing.

LCW, I think who is the skill master, has still chance only if he's equipped with stronger mental power.

    i don't think so.
lcw's knee problem already caught up for him
After a decent rest to play HKO, he bombed in china open.
The rest you can extrapolate yourself.

no new threats from other powerhouse countries either.

stronger mental power come too late lah, lcw's kness prob. has caught up to him. His mental training shoulda started 2 years ago and with lesser amount of on the court training, things i've said before.

What on earth are you talking about ? I'm sure you're kidding, but honestly... zero chance?... >_>.

That's exactly what I was trying to say. The top players of today, except perhaps LCW, seem to just be the same old players of a few years ago... just getting a bit on the old side now... There's no question Lin Dan has developed as a player. But I don't think it's *just* that which contributes to his dominance since the Olympics. If the level of competition were at the standard of a few years ago, I think Lin Dan would still be the best for sure, but may not be able to win practically every tournament he enters...

If he only has to play one player capable of even coming close to beating him in any given tournament, he's not going to have too much trouble is he? If he meets two or three who can give him trouble, then he can't be quite as confident. The chances of being knocked out get higher and higher. The more players, the more chances. So yes, I think quantity has a lot to do with competition, and the lack of it gives Lin Dan this "unbeatable" aura. He's great, but not unbeatable.

Anyway, I just want to see an overall stronger Mens Singles field. I hope some of the younger players can show a bit more potential.

Sir, jog your memory a bit. RS is the one who stopped LD in OG2004.

I brought up RS because it is very unlikely for LD to repeat the fumble. That's why I believe LD(now) is much better than LD2004.

Err.. you mean he was a force prior to 2005? I think RS is a good player but not quite at the level to be considered a force. There are the core favourites like LD, LCW, TH, and PG, then there are the inner rung of BP, CJ, BCL, SS, SDK, and PSH. I simply do not see RS in there.

Lets get back to discussing LD.
