37 years later, my ex-gfs in good old MAS (those were the days which I would not trade for any of todays in KL) would be quite different from the cute-looking chicks back then;), not sure she hit the gym for a hard body look or hit the buffet-hawker-stalls to load up:p so it would take more than 1 eagle eye to spot her...LOL:D

LD really wasn't into it today. But I was quite surprised that his playing style was much more offensive than what we are used to see from him at the moment. He went for the smashes quite often.

Look at what LD said here:
    http://www.bwfbadminton.org/news_item.aspx?id=50138

"Santoso pushed Lin Dan all the way but the Chinese ace displayed his full range of deft touches and stinging smashes to edge the tie.

“I’m happy to have played well and won and this is what entertaining badminton is all about,” said a delighted Lin Dan."

today's LD is not only playing badminton, but enjoy playing with badminton.

He had to against Simon otherwise he would have lost. Simon s a most dangerous player because he s unpredictable. But lucky for LD, his fans got to work from G2 onwards. The crowd was 80% CHN, the INA fans were rooting for INA WD and quite useless for Simon.

In bold, was this from the writer?

If it was, what a lousy comment :p

Was Lin Dan enjoying a close rubber game ?

    I doubt it :D

It's the 2nd time in a row that SS almost snatch a win vs LD. To me it looks like SS has done the home work well, such as smashing LD in the body not the sides. It's so unfortunate that at 15-12 on the third set SS had a chance to do a net kill but he blew it, otherwise IMO we will have different winner.

LD plays very much like TH now, I guess stamina, legs, muscle, and determination not as good as before, it's like married life and age have catch him fast, just like they did to TH.
    excellent news for LCW

No he's not having fun thats for sure, otherwise he would have gone to Hawaii. He's just different player as he used to be thats all. Just like all legend before him, time has running out fast.

LD has lost exactly ONE time all year in BWF tournament play and will take over the #1 OSIM BWF World Super Series ranking after the Sing. Open. If that's "time running out fast," what do you call someone who loses more than once?
