spidey, the answer is no, max is 90-95% of the original on the physical aspect.

On the mental aspect, it is big question mark.

my mates keep telling me that for a 15 yr old, the prospect is very good, recovery and physio will even make it stronger as they kid is growing!
probably will be out for 8-12 mths and should come back stronger.
still again the emotional part lingers on, or then again for a 15 yr old....heck care, just continue to whack, jump and run!! no fear of pain!!

The problem is if Li Xuerui is not fit for the Sudirman Cup, in three months' time will she be good enough for the World Championships ?

The BWF ain't blind or deaf, aside from the sky-high past achievements of both players, CL and LXR, the organization must have well reckoned that the vast market and real money for badminton lie with China and the Chinese fans worldwide. Those developed economies won't regard and support badminton as the Chinese-related interests do!

So of course the presence of some Chinese most coveted stars will carry its own weight and bring in additional interests and coverage, some conditions that are also required by the sponsorship.

Beyond all the slogans and empty words, in Real Life Equation: Size and Wealth Do [Really] Matter!

P.S. I often laugh by myself whenever I read or hear such line that says: "Every one or every nation has the equal position thus bla bla bla...." --> reality in life simply doesn't support such notion! Nevertheless, such hilarious remark is often repeated :) with no care to the realities.

I think the name list for Sudirman Cup must be submitted some time ago (in months of weeks earlier !? thus didn't want to bother her back then)... and do we really know the actual state of LXR atm??

    Hope the best for her!

Actually, according to reports, Xia Xuanze only took her name out of the Sudirman Cup just a week or so before the commencement of the event by the deadline for confirmation of name list. At that time he said LXR was not (match) fit enough to play at the SC, that's my worry.

Anyway, nothing for her to lose going there at Glasgow since she's decided to make a comeback, it's a matter of time and place. Wish her all the very best. JiaYou !

She is not registered for TPE open GPG, but then no CHN team is and it might be for a variety of reasons, maybe political...who knows. There are still two GPG events before worlds (USA and NZL). Let us see if LXR will be sent to play at least one of them. It would be good to have a tuneup event before worlds, for sure.

All Chinese players will be at the National Games Qualification Tournament starting on July 11. Hope Li XueRui will be among the contestants.

The deadline for the Sudirman Cup player lists was midnight KL time, May 5th, so just over two weeks before the tournament began.

Well now is ZhangNing the WS Coach, sure LXR can learn from her how to be top players till 30+ when she won Beijing OG gold right.

Of course, maybe in the past there are not that many or any top WS players that can trouble zhangning ..

Li Xuerui will be in action, her first competition since coming back from injury, at the China National Games, a quadrennial multi-sport event, held in Tianjin from 27th Aug to 3rd September.

I think, like Kento Momota, I expect LXR to struggle to regain her form in her very first tournament after a long 12-month injury layoff.

The whole China National Games is in just a week?
Or is this specifically only for Badminton?
