Anyone played with the new Li-Ning strings yet? Interested in the No.1 in particular.

I was able to get a sample set from Li-Ning China to demo and they are awesome at 24/26lbs on my Windstorm 700 and Woods N60! They are surprisingly durable for a 0.66mm string. I found great repulsion and control with the string. If you enjoy playing with a high pitch sound when hitting then these are the strings for you. I hope that helps! :D

Sounds promising! How do you rate them in comparison to other BC staples like ZM65, BG66UM etc?

Has anyone tried the No.1, No.5 and No.7 strings? Which one would be similar to BG80/BG80Power?

No. 1 is 0.65 and texture is a little on the rough side. Only strung at 22 lbs and it's the first time I've had any stringing done for the past 7 years.

I know I posted above that I have the No. 1 string done on 2 rackets but I don't really know how to assess them... which is why I didn't give any updates... and I only just got back to playing for leisure.

Shop said it's No. 1 is like B66UM but a bit more durable. So far I've mishit a few times and still good. Maybe cos its only 22 lbs or I'm not hitting hard enough to have any breakage....Hope someone else who has tried them can give an evaluation.

Any reviews for NS50? It’s available for dirt cheap right now and I’m thinking of ordering a couple sets. I can’t find any real useful data on it however to indicate how it would be.

Ordered a bunch of NS30 packets when I saw that they were available. Assorted colours so I have no idea what i'll get but really looking forward to this one.

While the 50 didn’t even make it into the courts (snapped in the bag as mentioned in the frequency thread), 30 didn’t even flinch at mid 30’s. Sounds fantastic and much better than anything that’s not a .65 or lower. Good repulsion, really nice power but most of all, incredible touch. Second to BG66 (normal variant) maybe but the texture is just perfect. Incredible control all around. So far turning out to be one of the best strings I’ve ever used but it’s too early to say that with surety.

Biggest shocker tho is that it’s exactly half the price of BG80 here. At this price it better start sucking at something real quick or I’ll be hugely disappointed to have wasted money on other strings that cost double or triple the cost of this.

Sadly it has lost it’s charm now after 16 hours of play. Still getting really nice and meaty hits from it sometimes tho. First two sessions it seemed to have maintained the tension but then it started to decline. Seems like a really good tournament string.

White tends to be most durable.

I've had issues with newer Li Ning packets but never like that tbh. If it's gonna pop it goes straight away or minutes after stringing. Never after 3 games. Sounds more like a mishit issue for some reason.

On another note, NS30 is now my favourite string and has become the go to. A bit funny since the packet costs 3.5 usd after delivery. I tried G Tone 5 in between but I went back. What a string. I like it a lot better than No.1, 3 & 5 as well. I'm using yellow if someone is interested.

Some strings you just click with I guess.
