Congratz to Ahsan/Hendra for repeating their back-to-back glories, winning over KSH/LYD in straight 21-15, 21-18

A prediction happens to turn into reality... 100% efficacy! Today's event is just a business between the two: INA 3, CHN 2
The rest indulges sufficiently in the number #2s.

INA wins BIG today, unable to recall when is the last time INA squad win over 3 titles in a SS-level tourney! Congratz to INA squad for such great achievement!!

I felt a little bad for the Koreans. The number of netcords the Indonesians go their way was simply amazing, it must have been a total of 5-6 the whole match! One could say that they were very lucky. But truthfully I still think the Indonesias would have won even without the netcords. They're just able to expose the weaknesses of KSH too easily and frustrate LYD mentally so that he performs below par. Setiawan dominated LYD at the net most of the time, though it was much closer in the second set.

That being said, I really had wished the match had gone on to three games, the Koreans were finally beginning to pick up some steam but an unlucky netcord to give match point to the indonesians quickly doused it.

Still though, LYD was very visibly frustrated every time KSH made a mistake or made a wrong decision in his choice of shot. The partnership, despite being #1, still have lots of problems when they face very tactical opponents like Setiawan/Ahsan.

The lady interviewer speaks English very quickly. That makes it difficult for the players to reply.

Ahsan/Hendra played brilliantly. Nerves did creeping in when the Koreans bounced back until 17-18. Congratulations.
And if I were Koreans, I will fear Hendra when he is at front, very confusing to answer.

It's a great day for INA fans as the INA players won 3 titles at the Singapore SS. Another 5* performance (despite the slight blip at the end of the second-set when the KOR pair caught up from 8-14 to 18-19) as Hendra Setiawan/Mohd Ahsan nabbed their 3rd SS title and 2nd in a row, after the Indonesia SSP title last week.

This bodes well for the World Championships and hopefully, these players don't peak too soon. Ahsan/Hendra won't be in the top 4 seed, so, they will start to encounter tough opponents in the QF.

Congrats to Ahsan/Setiawan for their 2nd back-to-back SS title.

As for Lee Yondae, ever since JJS retired,he simply can't reproduce the same form with his new partner, except maybe in the beginning.

It's been a long time indeed. This is the first time INA squad are dominating a SS event after so many years.

Now, let's hope all the hype and such great performances can be proven once again at WC :D

Ya, we must do research and convert the haze into energy and help Indonesian people reduce the price on petrol.

Well, actually the one who burnt the forests and produced the haze are mainly Singaporean and Malaysian oil palm investors with cooperation of corrupt local INA government :)
Anyway, my sympathy for Singapore citizens for this.

Yes KUDOS to the INA champions for giving us such a good show and make us forget the haze.

I only wish the lovely Polli can win a title too. Maybe next time. :D

Polli has been a good women's doubles specialist but too bad she and her teammate just can't breakthrough the CHN Women's doubles Great Wall yet :( But let's hope she's not letting up and keep progressing.

It's been a good day for me thanks to Towi/Butet, Tommy, and SanDra :p

See you guys again hopefully at WC
