Sun Yu prevailed over Tai-phoon in two straight sets, 21-17,21-11, their 2nd meeting I think, the first was the WJC SF, also won by Sun Yu.

Looks like Bo Yixin and Cheng Shu still have quite a bit of work to do in their partnerships. Heard that Bao's previous partner, Zhong Qianxin, is back from injury layoff and will partner Bao in the next tournament, the US Open.

Nobody can beat her at this moment, she may lose to Sun Yu if they meet.

When will BWF implement the line-call review system? I doubt we'll see it at the WC either.

Possible, LXR seems to be relaxed and enjoying herself here without pushing herself. Her younger teammate Sun Yu, 19 years old, is playing above herself in this tournament so far and looks set to continue in that vein;therefore an upset is not too far-fetched.

Generally, I can't recall any exception, CHN players only get to play in the adult international circuit when they are about 18/19 yrs old, no matter how good they are at 14/15 unlike non-CHN players. The really promising ones would go on to make their marks within 2 years of their international debut, LXR is one good example.

SY meets LXR in semi, a walk over may happen? It may depend who the no 4 is.

CWF just not up to the mark...don't think that he's even better than other lower ranked players like VA and so on

Boonsak Ponsana is one of the few non-CHN players I enjoy watching very much.

CWF is what I call an on-again-off-again kind of player, occasionally brilliant, simply lacking in consistency.
