S 13-8 Bawa scores from his big smash
    S 13-9 V served out
    S 15-9 V smash

    S 16-10 V net error

    S 18-10 Bawa clear
    S 18-11
S 18-13 SIN starts to make mistakes
    S 19-13 Alicia net error
    S 19-14
    S 20-14 good smash from V
    S 21-14 Razif mistake

So Singapore won another title XD apart from the WS. A rejuvenated Vanessa played well to set up for Bawa to thrill us with his big smashes.

So Japan and Singapore tied with two titles each, JPN in MS and WD and Singapore in WS and XD, while Indonesia clinched the MD.

    Dandi/Jones vs Marcus/Agri

Both pairs fight till the last drop, and eventually pelatnas pair Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Agrippina Primarahmanto Putera win the game in 16-21 21-17 22-20. Good fight from the young pair from Djarum, Dandi/Jones quite in-form lately, Dandi/Jones being runner up in Sirnas Semarang, from what i watched during the final in Sirnas Semarang, i think Dandi is quite good too, but last time i saw many suggestion to split this pair and find another partner for Jones..? Perhaps Dandi is improving now..?

    Expressions of disappointment from Dandi..

At the end, INA only wins 1 title in MD. The Pelatnas pair of Agripinna Primarahmanto Putera/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon wins their first international title and this victory justified Koh Herry IP's decision in sending the 4 pairs in the second-team to the Singapore International Series 2011.

I think Agripinna/Marcus will be retained as they have the best results out of the 4 pairs. Even in the 3 defeats they suffered this year, it's all to the senior pairs (AG/Alvent in the Thailand GPG, Angga/Ryan in the INA SSP, and Rian/Rendra in the INA IC). I look forward to seeing them hopefully compete in IC (Malaysia, India), GP (India) events, and INA GPG events till the end of the year.

No birthday present to Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo but he's still 16 yo and there's plenty to look forward from him and his partner. I do think that he needs an older partner like Lukhi Apri Nugroho once he graduates from the juniors. Djarum's decision to send their BD pairs was also justified as 2 of them reach the SF and so very nearly created an all-Djarum Final!

As for Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo, tough luck as he lost in 2 well-fought sets to Kazuteru Kozai. No shame in that and I believe Wisnu is one of those who really benefit from Li Mao's presence in the Pratama team.

1 title for INA squad through all-INA-final in MD as Wisnu lost to Japanese Kazuteru Kozai.
Japan & the host bagged 2 titles each, congrats!

Kozai was more powerful and fitter. Maybe nuitrition made the difference as INA's doubles department has found out recently.

If I am not wrong, Kozai was born in 1986. That makes him 25 this year.

Visitors using the Woodlands MRT may find the food court on the 7th floor of Causeway Point a pleasant place for a meal and refreshments. :D
