That's a good idea. Or Nike can just sponsor his clothing, which is where the money is anyways. Modify the badminton attire to be more suited for general wear like basketball and chaching!
Nike = Winners Nike: We are looking to sponsor a badminton champion LCW: Harlo .. I from Malaysia and is champion of the entire world Nike: Thats good because we in Nike want to associate ourselves with winners LCW: How ahh money you paying arh? I want American money ok? I like George Washington picture. He very famous American actor. Nike: Ok, before we talk about money, tell us about your badminton credentials. LCW: Credentials?? What la is that?? I want money. Nike: Oh sorry, we meant medals or trophies you have won in badminton. LCW: Ohhhhh ... I got a lot la. Too many to count even. Nike: What about this LD guy? LCW: Ohhh ... I no friend him. He no WR#1. I am WR#1. Nike: Since you are in Korea now, tell us how you rate your chance? LCW: Aiyah ... too cold la here. Everywhere freezing. I no like it.
LCW only commented that it is very cold in Korea at this tournament . LCW only commented that it is very cold in Korea at this tournament. He did not say that he will not perform well because it's so COLD. Actually, in his first 2 matches, LCW have performed quite well. Even spectators there have said it's cold to be sitting there to watch. But keen Badminton followers are still turning up there to watch. It's not an excuse for any player and/or spectator to be commenting on the very cold condition. It is their comments that they wish to have less colder condition. Perhaps, our regular BCers in Korea can explain how bad the winter condition is over there. .
i agree on the premise that LCW was just commenting on his preference for playing conditions and not coming up with lame excuses. The lame excuse is only so if it came to pass.. that is, for example, if he did not come to play in the first place.... unlike some other WR# 1 badminton player. He is slogging it out right now in cold cold korea as we speak. Whether he wins or lose is completely besides the point. neways .... the cold weather in korea is still a tad warmer than some of the comments here
huh? does badminton stadium in england, swiss, denmark and korea have heating system? i think the venue of korea open is a stadium can anyone provide some info?
Of course they do. You expect the spectators to freeze to death in the winter? It does get quite cold.
oh thanks hehe i tot they just close the aircond save money so there is heating system in korea open lah luckily player is playing on court, with will get them warmer hehe for the spectator hehe frozen
All buildings in cold countries are heated in the winter. I suggest you experience winter one day Sorry, getting off topic
Nike : So, you don't have much credentials? We can't sign you. Too bad. LCW : Never mind, then. I can look for Adidas. Nike : Why Adidas? You are going to our competitor? What makes you think they will sign you. LCW : Heard of Dinara Safina? And America will have to wait for their WR#1 badminton 'cos next in line will be Germany.
