i tend to agree with Hendrawan. its not something new, its his old enemy; Himself. LCW has been battling with himself all through his career. only managing to somewhat subdue this not too long ago.. Probably due to the recent drug fiasco, which serves to remind and worse haunt him again, of this debilitating handicap. I hope he gets over it and quick, he is just too good
What Hendrawan said makes sense. Wei Nan played so good in this tournament, he manage to give a lot of trouble to CL in the semis. So nothing but a number one could have defeated Wei Nan at this form he was in.
Very impressed by LCW, the way he took out Viktor yesterday at the French Open. He not only proved he still has what it takes to take on the best of the new crop of talents but also demonstrated how a relatively short player can deal with such a tall, fast, aggressive player whose attacking prowess and defensive ability are so intimidating, even for relatively tall opponents.
Agree. I just watched it. Datuk proves that he can still move very fast and keep up with the younger up and coming players. Impressive speed. And he's starting to use more deceptive double action and hold shots. In the end, his consistency and experience overcame VA.
What you guys consider as LCW's best year ever ???????? nokh88.. Rob3rt
LCW is in the best form ever. His game was far superior and he was challenged only during Victor Axelsen match rest all matches were one sided. I think now LCW needs to win against Chen Long and then he would be a complete package. in the current form LCW would go on to win the Olympics Gold.
He did play well this tournament. But should have finished the second game off rather than let it get so close. Chen Long would've capitalised on that.
