JP will be totally outclassed, i can see an all CHN semi-final occurring.

What a boring topic which even spawned a new thread.

    All top 4 seeds now in the quarterfinal: LD(#1), PG(#2), CJ(#3), TH(#4)

All 4 China players now in the quarterfinal: LD, CJ, BCL, CL.

Since LD and CJ are both top 4 and both are from China, so they have to advanced to semi. Otherwise, the above 2 laws will be all broken. Hong Kong' Hu Yun was from China too. Therefore, there could be some resistance in the CJ-HY match. While the person, that Persson who's neither top 4 seed, nor from China. What's the logic for him to win against the #1 seed Chinese?

Now the question is who will win in the other 2 matches:

#2 seed Peter Gade vs unseeded but Chinese Bao CL:
In my latest "who's hot, who's not" list, BCL should be better than PG, even though BCL ranked lower.

#4 seed Taufik Hidayat vs unseeded but Chinese Chen Long
Chen Long just beat Taufik in their last encounter, but Taufik showed no respect to CL. Taufik said Taufik himself was much better than CL when he was at CL's age. And also his loss was an accident. I think Taufik has been waiting long for his revenge. Taufik's form seems pretty good, beat Hafiz with no sweat. He also beat Simon easily at Japan open but lost to Bao CL finally. On the other hand, CL has not performed well since he won the Phillipes' title.

agreed 2cents, only interesting matchs are in the bottom bracket, although I would watch LD/JP for entertainment value:p but in all seriousness good luck to JP and it would be a bummer if its already all chinese at semis

edit: dassad, just noticed youre from isreal, did you watch LD/Zilberman? wasnt televised over here

i think that Joachim is a humble guy,,, look at his FB status commenting on his next encounter with Lin Dan,, He said That Lin Dan is the King of Badminton and he never play so close to Lin Dan:
Hello everyone, I bring good news today. I played well and beat Simon Santoso in two sets. So I am really happy and enjoying the moment. Tomorrow I will most likely play the King of Badminton, Lin Dan, unless he will lose to my team mate HK Vittinghus. I cheer for him but I don't believe he can deliver such a surprise. Thanks to everybody supporting me. Joachim

here is another comment from Joachim, he said that Lin Dan is the most brilliant Player ever on this planet:cool::cool::cool::cool: and it's insane to think about victory against Lin Dan:eek::eek::eek: :
Joachim PerssonAs expected I will play Lin Dan tomorrow. I am aware that he is the most brilliant player ever on this planet and that it is insane to believe in a victory. I got no chance on paper and also when I played him before I never was close. But I will not focus on that. I will only focus on the next rallye and I will fight with all my heart and use my intelligence.

hahahahhaha, so funny, i really LOLed when I read those comments by Joachim

seems like his mentality has changed a little since he boasted his "50:50 vs LCW", hehe

as much as I am a LD fan, i think it would be insane if JP could pull out a victory here, or at the very least, stretch it to 3 games, that would be nice

    LMAO. Love this one! :p

Well, I wouldn't say it would be easy for Lin Dan either, he may have to sweat, but winning chances are of course very high when looking back to past performances. I just hope Persson could at least put on a good show and get a set off Lin Dan. Don't get me wrong, JP is a great player and I would like him to win over Lin Dan, but it's quite predictable to what the outcome will be like. Good luck to both of them.

As Ld will beat JP, i really think PG will beat Bao because the crowd loves him and he did a good match against Tago yesterday...
