If it does happen that LCW and BCL play in the final, I hope the Malaysian line judges won't repeat the mistakes of the 2nd China Open. But if it does happen, it'd be a good example of karma. What do you guys think ?
I think we should not take credit away from BCL when he thumped LCW the last time they met. If our shuttlers are defeated, we must be able to accept defeat graciously. If our shuttlers are good, they will win.
A worthy champion should be able to deal with the pressure. Chong Wei can still be vulnerable at times and has cracked under pressure too many times. As for the line judging situation, we all hope for impartiality, and it would be in very bad taste to have home lines people sway the outcome of a match... any match. To echo Pemuda's comments, BCL would have beaten LCW hands down, suspicious judging or not, in the China Open final, such was his dominance.
The final scenario of top seed vs second seed is expected for every sport tourney including this MAS SS/08. In last 3 months, Lee Chong Wei met BCL thrice where LCW suffered losing two times (semifinal DEN and final CHN Open SS) and won once (final FRA SS). Before LCW-BCL encounter, there's one mouth watering match to wait is LCW vs TH in quarter...
I do agree that we shouldn't take away from BCL victory, but I'm also inclined to feel for LCW. I know the effects of frustrations and upsets and these feelings can really throw off your game. When i watched him the semi final of the china open he was really calm and relaxed, which is good. However, throw in some bad line calls and things can go pretty sour. Perhaps this is a bit a training period for LCW. A training to become relaxed in times of distress. Well anyways I hope his matches get broadcasted, lol. Kind of worried i won't see any, since all of the good matches are being played in the earlier stages of the tournament.
hafiz??really tough lah for him.lost to lcw in 3 sets will be good enough. that tall bcl.he'll get it from lcw in my motherland.wait bcl.ur time has comes. so arrogant.sorry.but i mean it..
First, LCW has to get pass Hafiz... Hafiz has won him before. It won't be surprising if this happens again... And unpredictable Taufik is along the way too...
I guess....LCW will win...it is difficult for any current world-class player to defeat in-form LCW....LCW MUST, MUST, and MUST win this Malaysian SS.
Of course, the possibility is there, just that, not high...unless BCL plays like CH ytd, or WCH is playing superb today....just wait n see, but I hope Da Ge Han thru to next round
Possible but unlikely, we can't judge Choon Hann performance base on victory against Chen Hong as he is not the same player we once know. Anyway, the advantage Choon Hann has is the home court advantage plus fan support. Still, I find it hard for Choon Hann to overcome younger Bao.
