just got back from watching the games, i was late though so i missed some games, taufik won, LCW def. boonsak, luluk and alvent won over their vietnamese opponents(they played them literally...luluk was returning the smashes with a smile) , kido/setiawan wins, CCM/KKK def. sudket/phatapol(3sets and a very very nice game, it was close), hafiz def. poompat, saralee/satinee won in 3 sets, sony dwi kuncoro won. i would like to correct a previous post about the names of the philippine players, its irene chiu and vanessa tanco.

Congrats to S'pore and Thai girls.

Overall, Thais are still better balanced in strength compared to M'sian girls. However, on that day, the unexpected MAS ladies won (2nd and 3rd singles) but the ones we bank on lost (WMC and Wong/Chin, though in Wong/Chin's case, it was 50-50 against higher ranked Thai pair and they gave a great fight in 3 games).

But that's fine though, all 4 world-class countries are represented in finals. MAS vs INDON in men's team, & S'PORE vs THAI in women's team. Probably one of the few sports where the host country cannot dominate.

And this is the crucial one that MAS girls lost:

WMC lost to Salakjit Ponsana 1-11, 5-11.

Very peculiar, losing easily to Salakjit when WMC fights hard against top-ranked opponents. LCW needs to perk her up.

It's a little bit worrying to see Taufik playing like this....letting his much inferior opponents taking 12 and 11 points  Meanwhile, both Sony and Simon completely destroyed their opponents.

Today's clash between Indonesia and Malaysia is mouth-watering.

I am pretty confident that Sony and Luluk/Alven could deliver the points, after seeing Hafiz and CCM/KKK both struggling yesterday.

The other point will depend on which Taufik turns up for the day. A fired-up Taufik will leave no chance for LCW (who also struggled to beat Boonsak yesterday). If the score is 2-1 for Team Indonesia, then it will be a tough fight between Markis/Hendra vs Choong/Lee.

Hopefully, team Indonesia can prevail 3-0 first

This will not be easy for taufik to beat LCW. Taufik is more on a consistency player but LCW is more agressive.

Ok. But agressive will make taufik's ball flow inconsistent and irritated. Eventually Taufik will make a lot of mistakes and lose his match to he himself.
Thats the y China players are dominating now.;)
