So far this year LS only lost to VA, the dominating top MS player, and Kunlavut, his junior rival and also aspiring superstar player. So far so good for 2022 for LS must be the verdict
Hope he withdraw from Swiss Open and try to regroup. Kunlavut and Kento Momota , both are not playing Swiss Open. He may slated to meet Viktor in the sem ifinals of Swiss Open.
Hmm after Swiss Open, he'll have 1 week rest and then he'll play Korea Open super 500. So I think he should play Swiss Open if he has 60 percent energy left. If he loses, no problem. I predict he'll withdraw.
Guys, I was outside. Couldn't watch his match. How did he play ? Looking at scoreline and time duration, it seems there were long tiring rallies.
He played okay, there were many long rallies but Viktor was up to it, didn't gave Lakshya an inch of the court to exploit for most part of the match. He was sharp and covering the whole court like crazy, plus he has that powerful attack which worked well for him most of the times. I will have to say though, Lakshya did defended superbly and probably figured out a way after the mid game interval of the second game but as gill always says "it was too little too late". All in all it was a decent performance from Lakshya. He probably needs to work more on his attack and his physical fitness and he will do so much better in the future.
we might look back on this 2022 all-england as his breakout tournament if his current level of play becomes the minimum.
Lakshya Sen is still evolving as a player. Each player matures at a different age. Lakshya will get better with time on the court, over the next 2-3 years we can expect better performances. Prakash Padukone won the All England Age 25, Gopichand was 27. The best years are age 22-26 for peak fitness and strength. Lakshya is a bright spark for the future. I thought Sen looked really tired. His upper body was lurching around pretty badly. Did he do that on purpose to fool LZJ? Because Sen ended the match pretty strongly!
This is what Lakshya and Viktor said after the match. An excerpt from the article on BWF's official website. LS: "My strategy was in place and I’d played him last week but today he was solid in defence and attack,” Sen said. “I didn’t get that many opportunities to play the net. Every time I played the net he lifted to the deep or flicked me. In the build-up and pressure he played a really good game. He was too solid for me to put the shuttle down.” VA: “There’s a lot of history right here, and to be part of that history is a dream come true. I still have a lot of years in me hopefully, so I’m beyond excited about this. It feels exactly the same as the first time. I’m so relieved in a way, because it’s so hard to get into these finals, so you also have to grab the chances when you have them, and I’ve managed to grab two and I’m really stoked about that." "I wanted to come in pretty aggressive, with a high pace, and I think Lakshya also had a hard match yesterday, so I knew he was a little bit tired. I played with great variation and great determination and it paid off. I was a bit passive in the second, and he’s a physically and mentally strong player, so you have to dare to do some stuff.”
I’m sure some one helped him write this or he took an awful long time to write this This is how he will sound like when you talk to him person. Pretty much a kid Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Definitely, its not him who wrote it.. I am sure about it. The post was so articulate. Might be his father or anybody from academy !
