Early results ... as of now.

    Mixed doubles completed.
    No surprises.
The two Chinese pairs were stretched to rubber games.
8th-seeded Blair/Munt got bundled out by a Taiwanese pair.
Doesn't matter because Kim/Ra will cream everyone else.

    Men's singles almost completed.
    Chen Hong beat Kaldau.
Ronald got a free ride to R16 as his opponent retired.
Bao needed 3 sets to beat Jang Young Soo.
Dicky Palyama over Llopis. The benefactor of Taufik's retirement.
Wong CH, Agus Haritanto, Shon SM, Peter Gade and Roslin all advance, Agus having to struggle a little over Jens Roch.
Bjoern Joppien over Zhu Weilun in 3.
Chen Yu will fight Xia in R16.
Lee CW in 3 over Lee Cheol Ho, will fight Kenneth next.
Lee Hyun Il over Wacha, to meet Ng Wei or Park Tae Sang, the only match undecided now.

Good news for Malaysian women's singles players. Both Woon Sze Mei and Wong Mew Choo moved on to the last 16, albeit a bit lucky to meet easier opponents than they may have. But should be the end of the road for both as they inevitably meet seeded players next. However, maybe Mew Choo can give Pi Hongyan a run for the money.

All ladies' singles games are finished except Pi Hongyan's match. No surprises and Pi should win hers.

Pi Hongyan vs Kim Kyeung Ran, this is probably a tough match, that's why it's not yet finished!

Kim Kyeung Ran playing in front of her home crowd is capable of beating Pi Hongyan, so let's wait and see...

True, and with Chew and Chan losing to Tesana and Pramote in the first round, there's no malaysian MD pair left in the draw!

Men's doubles results starting to trickle in.

No surprises so far. Of note is that Tesana and Pramote defeated Chan/Chew in straight games. Just when is Chan/Chew going to straighten out?

interesting match probably on-going is Candra/Halim vs. Lee/Yoo.

    Candra/Halim are IBF ranked #20 while Sigit/Trikus are #19.

this will be a close fight between the two pair for the last spot to Athens behind Hian/Limpele and Alven/Luluk.

    Lee/Yoo meating Yim/Kim in 2nd round.
=> will they leave them win on purpose to ensure they stay in the top 16 (as Ha/Kim did in AE) or will it be a "real" match?...

Minor upset (I think) as a Taiwanese pair beat Chen Qiqiu/Cheng Rui. Looks like China may not have good pairs yet other than the top 2.
