no worry, a MS title at Korea Open would more than make up for that.

With LCW out, a MS title for LD seems guaranteed.

    Pshaw,

in Ottawa this week it's been -23, -11, -15, and -19 celsius ... still not as bad as Beijing in 84 w/ no heat due to a coal shortage :crying:. Get a jacket man and a toque :p. Come to Canada, all our outerwear stores are having 30% sale right know .

to be honest. they just have to brave it. it is part of the job.

-4C is not too bad. back in the east, we used to have -20F weather, and all my SE Asian friends did ok. back in the UK, we used to go out to play badminton when it is way below zero and snowing outside.

badminton players are tougher than you think.

You're talking about playing outdoor or going out to play indoor? If you played outdoor, would there be any wind blowing shuttlecocks around

Cold weather can be a curse to many, but a bless to others who are die-hard players and will see less crowded courts :rolleyes::D

thanks goodness it was indoor. but after a while, since school gyms are not heated, indoor and outdoor really aren't that different except indoor doesn't have freezing wind.

ctjcad, you're exaggerating the weather conditions in LA. The snow and ice is about 30 miles north of LA in a mountainous region if you count it as LA. The current temp in LA is 48 F (9 C)

Wonder why dont they make it Malaysian Open sequence by Singapore Open.

Then Japan Open pairs with Korea Open.
