Yeoh Kay Bin, if I remember correctly, was very close to beating CJ or CY in the MO. I would like to think this time round, he would want it more and will beat CY. He is going to do a Hafiz act, beating a Chinese after several tries.

My best wishes go to him in this.

    Let's start the bashing culture....

I was so sorry tat im not around to bash in order to support our Msian MD.:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying: but I did my part (bashing support) for the singles.....less bashing less smashing i guess....or less bashing gets more smashing??? Fairuz/LWF and KBH are just plain suffering for the supporters.:mad::mad: I felt ashamed somehow our national champion tends to fall so easily at the early rounds....so we should bash them as early as we could from now on, so they could go further. It's the super series style !!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

It will be very difficult for YKB to pull it off against Chen Yu, as YKB is not technically nor tatically equal to the Chinese top 5 players(there is at least one level between Chen Yu and YKB in skill difference). In World Cup 2006, Chen Jin wasn't even close to going full speed against YKB, and simply just took him out with ease. (Yes, not a good comparison since Chen Jin is sightly better than Chen Yu...but close enough:p)

The odds are in favor for Chen Yu, but the fact that this will be Chen Yu's 1st match in this Korea Open may causes some challenge for him, as he is not used to the atmosphere of the gymnaism and court due to Gade's walkover in the 1st round.

In the worst scenerio, I would say Chen Yu will still pull it off, but may take 3 sets.:p

Im so happy to see the old timer Roslin playing again....hopes he can go further than his younger brother though, as some kind of motivation for his younger brother to do well in future. have somehow lose hope on this AE winner..:confused::confused:...misbun should get him a fitness trainer....and we should we bash him more often.:cool::cool:

This is really hard love. Do we really have to bash our players all the time? :)

Any of you know why Indonesia did not play Simon Santoso in MO and KO 2007?

At least Sonny did okay in MO and pretty good in KO.

I feel pretty bad for ZTT.

She did very well with Chen Qi Qiu in XD. Although rarely win a title, at least they consistently reach QF or better. Than CQQ retired and she pair with Zheng Bo. They did pretty well and managed to won 1 title last year.

Then the famous incident in WC2006 and LYB split them.

Now she had to stuck with ZJ who like we all know not as good as lets say 2 or more than years ago.

How come LYB did not paired ZTT with lets say Cai Yun or Fu Hai Feng? Or maybe the youngster like He Bin or Shen Ye?

I think in wc2006, lyb split the original pairings of Zhang Jun and Gao Ling and paired them with other partners. It didnt pay off at the time..

    My Call

    WS
Pei Xian Julia WONG - Petya NEDELTCHEVA
Almost 50 - 50 - Julia has edge on speed, Petya on experience and is good at turning games around in 3rd set.
    Huaiwen XU - Juliane SCHENK
Straight win for XU, tough luck Juliane (twice meeting XU in 2nd round)
Chia-Chi HUANG - Hyun Jin LEE
Aussie gal cannot handle Korean crowd
    Lin ZHU - Tine RASMUSSEN
ZL's game is very impressive (except her stamina)
Mew Choo WONG - Lan LU
LL has slight advantage, but she has crumbled before. WMC expected to dish up a tough fight.
Yoon Hee SEO - Chen WANG
    No contest
    Ella KARACHKOVA - Jie YAO
YJ advantage, easy draw for her.
    Judith MEULENDIJKS - Xingfang XIE
Xie to prove a point and be more consistent than her boyfriend this year.

    XD
    Nova WIDIANTO/Lilyana NATSIR - Suzanne RAYAPPAN/David LINDLEY
INA pair to win, but they are so inconsistent.
Ling GAO/Bo ZHENG - Lena FRIER KRISTIANSEN/Jonas RASMUSSEN
Danes run into the Great Wall.
Britta ANDERSEN/Joachim FISCHER NIELSEN - Donna KELLOGG/Anthony CLARK
Might be almost 50-50 here, ENG not impressive yesterday, needed an escape act.
    Vita MARISSA/Flandy LIMPELE - Gail EMMS/Nathan ROBERTSON
Vengeful ENG pair better look out for INA experience.
Pei Tty WONG/Kien Keat KOO - Min Jung KIM/Jun Bum JEON
On paper, MAS can do it, but could they?
Gresya POLII/Muhamad RIZAL - Kamilla RYTTER JUHL/Thomas LAYBOURN
    Danes should win, no question.
    Yawen ZHANG/Zhongbo XIE - Miyuki MAEDA/Keita MASUDA
Only thing that could stop CHN pair is their flu bug.
Yujia LI/Hendri Kurniawan SAPUTRA - Saralee THOUNGTHONGKAM/Sudket PRAPAKAMOL
Sudket jumps on top of SAPUTRA!

    WD
Min Jung KIM/Kyung Eun JUNG - Yawen ZHANG/Yili WEI
CHN pair will win, regardless of ZY's flu bug.
Endang NURSUGIANTI/Rani MUNDIASTI - Youn Kyung JUNG/Soo Jung HONG
Could be 50-50 here, no firm favourite .....
    Yanmei JIANG/Yujia LI - Wei YANG/Jiewen ZHANG
CHN pair need to regain their respect.
Kyung Won LEE/Hyo Jung LEE - Miyuki MAEDA/Satoko SUETSUNA
Another Korean victory anticipated, but Prof Park is on the opposition side ....
    Ling GAO/Sui HUANG - Nicole GRETHER/Juliane SCHENK
All GL needs is a smile ....
    Kumiko OGURA/Reiko SHIOTA - Kamila AUGUSTYN/Nadiezda KOSTIUCZYK
Cute JAP girls most improved non-CHN pair this season
Jung Eun HA /Yu Mi HWANG - Jing DU/Tingting ZHAO
ZTT deserves some measure of success
    Gresya POLII/Vita MARISSA - Aki AKAO/Tomomi MATSUDA
Scratch INA pair should be made permanent if they win.

    MS
Sony Dwi KUNCORO - Tsuen Seng LEE
Sony has slight advantage, but Lee is doing well under Indra Gunawan
Roslin HASHIM M. - Roman SPITKO
    One way street for Roslin
Wei NG - Muhd Hafiz B HASHIM
A question we would like to see answered, which Hafiz will play today?
Shoji SATO - Chong Wei LEE
Two speedy players battle it out to one outcome.
    Dicky PALYAMA - Jin CHEN
    Agreed, it's a knockout.
Yu CHEN - Kay Bin YEOH
YKB can push out to the main MAS MS rank with a famous win, but CY might be too strong.
Chunlai BAO - Seung Mo SHON
Impressive Bao will make this count after MO miss.
    Dan LIN - Przemyslaw WACHA
LD cannot fail this time, 'cos his girlfriend's here ....

    MD
Jae Sung JUNG/Yong Dae LEE - Hendri Kurniawan SAPUTRA/Hendra WIJAYA
KOR pair to win even with LYD's ankle in braces.
Markis KIDO /Hendra SETIAWAN - Simon MOLLYHUS/Anders KRISTIANSEN
The INA pair will be too good, but Danes will provide decent opposition.
Sudket PRAPAKAMOL/Patapol NGERNSRISUK - Tan Fook CHOONG/Wan Wah LEE
It all depends on CTF, wouldn't surprise me if they failed ....
    Haifeng FU/Yun CAI - Hendra A GUNAWAN/Joko RIYADI
If INA pair play intelligently, they can join the club of world champion topplers ....
Bin Shen TAN/Soon Hock ONG - Jens ERIKSEN/Martin LUNDGAARD HANSEN
Old Danes will take it, subject to available stamina.
Tony GUNAWAN/Chandra WIJAYA - Sang Hoon HAN/Gun Woo CHO
The great pair should breeze through, having conquered tougher opposition.
Michal LOGOSZ/Robert MATEUSIAK - Jae Jin LEE/Ji Man HWANG
Great Poles eventually mowed down by Ginseng power.
Kien Keat KOO/Boon Heong TAN - Anthony CLARK/Robert BLAIR
AG/MO champs prevail here, else Coach Rexy will be hopping mad.

Simon has drag into deep non-technical analize in pelatnas , since he's no sign to be atleat top10 players during 3 years carer, eventhough pelatnas put him a high target to replace no1 Ina player (taufik) within 4years, now they have to search another talenta Ina player... and I beleive so many talenta in local badminton club:D

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D i guess the more we love our players the more we will bash them especially when they dont perform up to their standard (once in a while is acceptable like Lin Dan but not like Fairuz/LWF or KBH).....I think it's just a way to let go of our GERAMness and being able to love them again.....so it's good after all?? :p:p:p hehehhe...
