It's interesting how nobody cares if Zakry/Fairurizuan flop their matches and can't even get back in the world's top ten pairs. weren't they once world no.4 as well?

They are now independent players... I guess no one really cares about them anymore. Don't think they have potentials to be top pairs..

    mmh.
I´m still hoping they can achieve something, but I doubt they can win majors.
And BAM is getting a figure of joking :p I mean they can´t say this and a few months later that. This is inconsistent. I see the problem of not having other good pairs and I wonder whether they could bring out new combination to threat row. It seems true that they need points for the TC next year as whole Malaysia is struggling (except Lee Chong Wei in the MS ofc).
I read KKK´s marriage is on the Oct 18th, but they are registered for the DO13 in the same period!?

After marriage, better retire or just play for fun. Knee issues. ;)

I think. Fuzzy also boom late around 25+ and they never won any major
Tournaments, except Indonesia open where most top pair withdraw after
Olympic 2008. The fact that their
    Top year is right
    After
    Olympic year which most
    Players and country take

To be fair, Gideon and Markis (i.e. the two INA players) played very well. Most of their shots were fast and flat, they did not give the attack away much. For such a young partnership, they played very very well.

I'm not making excuses for KKK/TBH. I think they could have won and should have. They're definitely not performing as well as they should and it's been going on for a while.

i can see Gideon and Markis play styles are as similar to Korea pairs, primary play fast and flat shots...

Yes, without going too much off-topic here, that seems to be the current way the top pairs like to play. At the end of the day, they play this fast flat game to avoid having to give the attack away. This may be why KKK/TBH have struggled against the top pairs and especially against Korean pairs.

KKK/TBH are best when they are the ones attacking (i.e. with TBH powering down smashes and KKK finishing at the net). CY/FHF have the same style and they too struggled towards the end of their partnership. The problem with this is obvious. How are you going to power down smashes when your opponents are hitting shuttles back to you at around net height or lower.

Gideon has a remarkable flat game and this was seen in the past week in the French Open (and seems like he has a decent smash from the back court too). Markis is always unpredictable.

The only way forward I see for KKK/TBH is to:
    1. Split up and form new partnerships to inject freshness into their game; or
    2. Diversify their basic strategy and improve their flat game

Both of these of course require input from their coaches. It's not always about a lack of effort from them. Sure, sometimes they seem like they couldn't care less on and off court. But what's the point of hurling criticism and insults at them without recognizing the changing dynamics of the MD game at the top level?

The game is changing, so players and coaches alike should have better adaptability.

Actually, when Koo/Tan first emerged in end of 2006 and early 2007, they used to play the flat game, towards the opponent's body. This was when they were under Rexy. And now they somehow abandon it and switched to high lifts.

I never expected them to win eventually... I think the winning odds are higher if HTH/TWK manage to enter into the finals...
