    Just disband the pairing.
They are an embarrassment to themselves, Malaysia, BAM and the coaches.

Cheah Soon Kit says that Tan Boon Heong/ Koo Kien Keat are lucky enough as they are still in the National team despite their problematic attitude towards the sport.

BAM should arrange for other potential pairs to rise up.

During Sudirman Cup Campaign, former shuttler Razif Sidek revealed that so of the senior shuttlers in the team involved themselves in Gambling, Clubbing, and did not show up on daily training purposely.

Cheah told the press that BAM should restricting Koo/Tan in participating in tourney, or even sacked them from National Team for their bad attitude. This will serves a stern warning to other national players.

BAM are too depending on Koo/Tan these years. BAM also did not put enough effort on rising up 2nd / 3rd pairs to challenge on Koo/Tan's No.1 pair's in BAM.

No matter how senior the shuttler are, or how many glory and how great their achievements in pass, once their attitude uncontrollable, they should be sacked.

BAM needs a chief coach to control and manage on these. Unfortunately, after Park Joo Bong rejected the offer from BAM, the vacancy remain unfilled despite some local coaches shows their interest to carry out the duty, such as Cheah Soon Kit, Razif Sidek and Kuan Yee Meng.

i bet BAM will keep them until the pair are old enough, until cannot play.

Reason is simple, those jokers are with no balls.

Warning : Don't be misled by the title :

BAM decide to separate Koo and Tan

    By RAJES PAUL

KUALA LUMPUR: It looks like Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) are not going to delve immediately on the struggle faced by their top men’s doubles pair Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong.
Why else will they approve a plan to separate Kien Keat and Boon Heong for a week when both are racing against time to get back their footing ahead of the World Championships in August in Guangzhou?

Kien Keat has been named only for the mixed doubles event with Vivian Hoo in the Kedah Open starting today in Alor Star while Boon Heong has gone to Japan to fulfil his obligation to Yonex.
Why did BAM approve a trip for a national player abroad when they had made it compulsory for all national players to play in the local tournaments?

Last week, Kien Keat-Boon Heong came under fire in the Sudirman Cup after losing to Lee Sheng-mu-Tsai Chia-hsin in a group tie against Taiwan.

No thanks to their defeat, Malaysia went down 2-3 as their relatively weaker women shuttlers – Sonia Cheah and Woon Khe Wei-Vivian Hoo could not save the tie.

One would have expected the BAM to address these players’ problems immediately so that they would be motivated and prepared for the Indonesian Open from June 10-16, which is Kien Keat-Boon Heong’s last tournament before the world meet.

Without one week of training together, how are these players expected to peak and win honours at the Indonesian Open?

And how are they expected to meet the final target set by the BAM at the world meet if they do not even get chances to train together and work on their weaknesses?

While the players should take the blame for their lacklustre performances, it looks like the national body is not concerned with the welfare of their players, given the ill-planning and lack of urgency in solving their woes.

Meanwhile, in the absence of Kien Keat-Boon Heong, the focus will be on two other World Championship-bound pairs – Hoon Thien How-Tan Wee Kiong and Lim Khim Wah-Goh V Shem at the Kedah Open.

Straight forward news article. If we assume KKK-TBH are now not going to the world championships, then the issues are resolved...

watched them play, bunch of clowns really. KKK is playing club level badminton, yu yang could probably smash harder than him. Tan's playing decent but you could tell as the match progresses, hes really not giving a fk anymore since KKK would hit simple kill shots out or into the net.

They used to be one of the most exciting and electrifying mens doubles pair around...man did they go downhill. They are not even that old, i mean old man frontman cai yun is making KKK look like a fat moving slob.
