As expected, Wifqi/Afiat lost to the more experienced Chen Hung-Ling/Lin Yu-Lang 16-21, 15-21. It's gonna be an interesting Final tomorrow.

So, it's an all-TPE Final as expected in WD and XD, all-MAS Final in the MS, and HKG to clinch the WS Final.

The only interesting match should be the MD FINAL between Fernando Kurniawan/Lingga Lie and Chen Hung-Ling/Lin Yu-Lang.

All top seeds advanced to the finals.

I was expecting Hsieh to win over Sairul and Veeran over Hindley but both were disappointing.

Anyway, MAS at least guarantees one title on MS and has a shot on WD too.

    Experience counts.

But too much experience counts against you.

Oh dear.. the uncles vs Kurniawan/Lingga.. I was line-judging, and Ong Beng Teong kept on entertaining the crowd.. he's a comedian. I couldn't concentrate, and I was a bit slow on my line-judging! :(
OBT apparently dragged the shuttle on the strings ( maybe double-touch ), and did a cross-court net-drop.. I still had to call it "in". The umpire didn't see that, so the malaysian pair scored a point from that.. then the Indo pair complained to the umpire saying that OBT dragged the shuttle. OBT replies with a funny expression, and both teams start laughing.. OBT pointed at me, saying that I called that "in". It ended up as a let.. lol

    Sadly I couldn't film it...

Jessica Jonggowisastro vs Zhou Mi, another funny match..
After the 11-point interval, Jessica J prepared for Zhou Mi's serve with a loud shout; "Come on!!!!".. Zhou Mi points at the shuttle which was outside the court.. but Jessica J continued shouting 'come on!!' etc.. :D:D.. funny and a little bit embarassing, but very entertaining!! and again.. I lost my concentration.

I was giggling but I tried to stop myself.. :D... But I couldn't. So I was told that I do not have to do line-judging tomorrow at the finals, phew.. I won't be known on youtube as the 'giggling line-judge'.. :p

I forgot to mention that Ong Beng Teong was being a comedian again..
They lost the first set to Lingga and Kurniawan so in the 2minute break-time, Sairul Ayob and Zhou Mi went up to them to try to talk to them but OBT shooed them away and the uncle-pair was completely ignoring the advices of the younger players.. they walked away laughing :D

LOL, thanks Jhirata, for sharing. Ong BT seems to be having a swell time just playing. The uncles are coaches, LOL, not surprising they ignored the advice of their students, perhaps in jest. Didnt know Zhou Mi trained under CSK /OBT, she joined in at court side for the fun?
