1) Aiyoo, the two of you ah, please dont argue2 and involve me. Post 1 time in 24 pages also cannot post in peace . I say already in page 1 & 2 of this thread, they win, no big deal, they lose, lose lor. Either way,no need kan cheong . Msia WD lost after leading 17-11 in set 2 more <sigh>. Other than that, from 2007 until OG 2008 we all already debate2, argue2 the same points..... until many threads closed/locked <yawn>. Yup, i rate KKK/TBH at 80% cos I believe they can improve & do better. 2) Thanks Uncle Loh for posting the pictures. 3) 1 or 2 person post abt Msia MD not going Korea Open. The BAM MD, WD, XD gang are not going, but Msia MD will represented by uncles CTF/LWW, CCM/CCE (Victor). WD by KLRC's LPS/Haw. The singles gang are going KO.
Thanks for sharing the photo Uncle Loh and nice meeting you today... sorry couldn't join the gathering...
I haven't been much in the forum lately. If not for Sandy's excellent PAW game (even though I sucked, but luckily not on tax-payer's money), I would have totally dropped out of the radar. Just a while ago, Loh (who is putting up at my house at the moment) pointed me to this thread. It reminded me on why I nearly dropped out of the radar. How many tos-and-fros of the same old thing can there be? This must be a record. Wait, record? Malaysia Boleh!! I have no opinion on whether KKK/TBH are on the upswing or not, because it is still too early to tell. What I can say is they looked like they are enjoying their badminton again. TBH seemed to have packed a better smash. KKK is still the same, sometimes still showboating. The combination looks sharper. Even when they lost to JJS/LYD, I can see it was pretty close. But how long can it last? Are they on the upswing? What, when was I ever a clairvoyant?
Right, that's exactly what I did see in the SSF Final when they won against the same KOR duo. Good for them!
haha...it is a he....hehe....me n limsy....mayb on the same track....i am their no1 fan....i really surprise... u n pemuda....say somethg so encouraging now....woohoo
No running contest as far as I am concerned. ... but per your KKK/TBH chances of winning is greater than 50%, I am still waiting for you to provide me that ballpark figure? ... or is it now no longer greater than 50%?
taken from NST (i think its on sunday, 11 jan 2009): "The good thing is that Kien Keat-Boon Heong worked as a unit at crucial periods unlike before where they operated as individuals. This is a positive sign." they are certainly on the comeback trail.... KKK/TBH i am still supporting u guys!!
Quotes from the Star Comments from the boss himself: “After the Malaysian Open, I will focus on the three elite pairs from 7am to 9am. The back-up pairs will train from 9am to 11am. The sessions will be more specialized,” said Rexy. “Previously, all the senior and back-up players train at the same time. The new arrangement will give me better focus on the players. But twice a week, both sides will come together in training. Rexy had mixed emotions on the overall performances of the doubles players. The top performers were Kien Keat-Boon Heong, who gave a gutsy performance in a quarter-final defeat by South Koreans Lee Yong-dae-Jung Jae-sung. “We had many pairs in the Malaysian Open. It would have been great if at least one of the pairs had gone far,” he said. “It is unfortunate that Koo and Tan were beaten by the Koreans. It has been a hectic schedule for them over the last few months but I was happy with the way they handled themselves in the crucial part of the rubber game. “Instead of focusing on their individual skills, they combined their strength to give the Koreans a good fight. That is a positive development for me.”
what Dato said is true, a defeat is still a defeat..... no matter how many "If" is useles.... but looking at the standard of MD now... only JJS/LYD is a bit better than the rest... to be honest, i am suprised with MK/HS performance lately... wonder why no thread to discuss about them... as for KKK/TBH, still the same words....time will determine whether they are back at their best...but at least they are not HH
It's too early to judge KKK/TBH will not as same as HH. Lets dont forget that after winning the AE title, HH had won some titles - Thailand Open Champion 2005 - Swiss Open Champion 2005 - Dutch Open Champion 2005 - Philipines Open Champion 2006
is true...but it aint BIG titles.. and if you noticed, last title in 2006... if Ah Koo and Ah Tan cant achieve something in 2009 i think next year we will see new pairs already....
The "downhill" thingy.. ..started when Oldhand created that thread, whenever it was created...from then, everyone was stuck with the "KKK & TBH Going Downhill?" mindset, until now...
ok...since tat thread...koo/tan won macau open...master final of ss...3 more title to surpass hh...^^...p/s:koo/tan won penang open too...koo won 3 xd title in local tourney too...^^...
The downhill ride didn't start with the creation of that thread. Click here and see for yourself how this player has fared lately
