Djarum badminton club as a club is also sponsored by Flypower-Arbi.

from Flypower-Arbi agent in Sabah, the price for Kido's racquet is RM 300 while price for Hendra's is RM 400 (excluding shipping to Semenanjung), but I heard that it is cheaper in Jakarta.

I don't know the exact contents of the deal but from what I understand, it is
US$ 1 million per person per year..... with additional performance bonuses and benefits that amount to another US$ 0.5 million per person per year if they achieved everything... :)

    So..

..where does that $160k/yr deal part come in?..is that the base contract?..is that $1 mil per yr/person contract guaranteed? if so, no wonder both Markis & Hendra jumped ship.:p

according to Hendra at Jawa Pos newspaper last week, their contract with Flypower-Arbi is close to Rp 1 milyar/year/person which is bigger than what they got from Yonex.

    Rp 1 milyar = Rp 1.000.000.000 = Rp 1 billion
    then using current currency-rate : 1 US$ = Rp 9300
    so it would be US$ 1.000.000.000 / 9300 = US$ 107.000 = US$ 107k

    In Bahasa Indonesia :
    1 juta = 1.000.000 = 1 million (in English)
    1 milyar = 1.000.000.000 = 1 billion (in English)

..thanks for confirming and the news source. That sounds closer to what Hau-ge mentioned.

So, i guess, the report in the article (previous page: $160k, maybe they got the numbers switched around) and the numbers mentioned by Krisna are typos/incorrect??..

In Semifinal of All England 2010, when Kido finally smashed to the net realizing their failure to advance to the Final, he gave a glance to his new SkyPower racket and flung it to the ground. Very impressive.

    :)

What does that got to do with this thread? It's usual for a player to show their temper or frustration especially during the tense moment when u finally lost the match just because of a shot.

Or u love the way he flung his flypower racket to the ground? Give me your racket, maybe i can flung it more impressively for you:D:D

    Just check the video...

Kido's reaction after finding his loss. He glimpsed at his new racket in his hand for a moment and then DID it. That's the different point with other cases.

    :)
