I thought that Momota played extremely well today!!! The early games were needed to get used to the racket ) A few more games and Momota will be there again!!!
Indeed, Momota displayed some good badminton with variety today in second game. Haven't seen him performing net kills or smashes like today since 2019. He even hit smash winner 416 kph Maybe his game is gaming back gradually. What is still missing is the turbo mode where is he increases the tempo significantly and the end of game when it gets tight. Maybe we see that tomorrow.
I hope we see that today! More importantly he was pretty quick on his feet going to that smash. Only caveat is that it wasn't fully to the back of the court. But still it is something.
