I hope Nishimoto will review the match and realise this kind of thing.

Momota use the yellow one, not the red one ^-^

And Shi Yuqi stood at the brown position, he knew the game.

Most of the time, Shi Yuqi just stood at half side (left or right, NOT CENTRE) of the court and wait for "straight clear shots", then slight smash to the line.

Nishimoto needs to develop other skills, especially cross-court shots

Too much "neutral shots", or I have to say: "always neutral shots".

I really don't know what Nishimoto's purpose was as playing "kind of shot". Maybe he doesn't have enough stamina after the match with Darren Liew yesterday.

I just saw a little part of the match. KN was playing a longline smash from his round the head and was falling out of court to the left. Ginting was basically standing were he's standing in your second screenshot. The smash from KN was straight at Ginting's racket, who then scored an easy winner with a cross block. I thought it symbolizes KN quite well: predictable and badly executed shots. Sorry. :(

I know the situation you said. If the person on court was me but not Ginting, I also took this point.

Ginting played so well today with many perfect net shots, but Nishimoto played too much neutral shot. Nishimoto cannot win by playing this way.

Ginting used the red one, Nishimoto should use cross net shot (the yellow), not the blue one.

If Ginting used "two net shots consecutive" (net shot two times), so, should use cross net shot next time, Nishimoto

Lee Chong Wei usually choses the yellow one, Momota usually uses the blue one, Ginting almost standstills when using the second net shot (the orange one) at the same position. So next time, don't use the red one. (if using the red one, lift it so high)

This situation should play like Yamaguchi, use the cross court shot.

Nishimoto tends to play "straight lift" at forehand corner in disadvantage situations. Using the yellow one, not the red.

Don't hit two times to the same position, don't use straight clear shots to his back hand. (the red line)

This is deadly skill from Ginting, and Nishimoto can take points from using it, why don't keep it on.

Most of time, When seeing badminton, I wonder why Nishimoto use half (slight) smash to hit right to the opponent. It's quite easy to lose point.
    Nishimoto game.jpg

Now I have the answer when seeing Momota's game, Momota also used kind of this shot, but the difference is Momota was left-hand player, so when he does it, the shuttlecock come to the left hand of his opponent. And when Nishimoto does the same, the shuttlecock come to the right hand of his opponent.

In the case of Momota, the opponent rarely smash the shuttlecock and the reaction is slower a little bit in comparison with the case of Nishimoto, in which the opponent can strike back with slight smashes or push it to the far corner.

Someone please tell to Nishimoto this thing.

Alot of the huff and puff situations made Nishimoto look like a busy and hardworking player but is all his own doing. Maybe he just doesn't have the on court intelligence.

Was it Nishimoto's own doing or was oldman Malkov really that exceptional and hit the form of his life after a month stint with Li Mao prior to Sudirman? My opinion is both :)

Nishimoto's performence is very close with Kantaphon's performance.

Both met Malkov and lost to him (same group, same time). So I think the Russian guy reached his best performance in that tournament to beat both.

I don't think Malkov can continue to surpass Nishimoto if both has a chance to rematch.

As Nishimoto meets someone many times on court, he (Nishimoto) will find a way to surpass them.
