Thanks guys for sharing my frustration. As someone who strongly supported SK, I am feeling terrible about myself for supporting someone who couldn't time a smash without hitting net/out, he is too afraid to smash after that and lost all his game points. Wtf is he practicing if he couldn't time a smash. I am Park, I'd resign and leave immediately.
I feel for him, but I also get frustrated when I think wth is he doing in training if he couldn't time his smash properly? He should learn to take responsibility on himself whenever he does a mistake instead of getting annoyed.
Now you see why we were all saying he needs to correct his attitude or whatever problem he has. 1 and a half years has passed with no worthy performances to show. We would have accepted his defeats had he acknowledged his mistakes and tried to work upon it but there is so much self denial that is haunting him and other Indian players rn and God forbid possibly in future too.
I don't see a problem in having a +ve attitude and being confident, but I must agree with you guys if that is arrogance and over confidence instead which is leading him into denial of reality.
When somebody has to play Semifinal , they will take rest and plan for the next day's match. But Srikanth is so dedicated to post an ad for his sponsor. Well done. Mindblowing semifinal performance.
I laughed so hard lol. This is seriously hilarious. The Indian threads are so depressive and their players are posting ads after ads. Well done . Btw he forgot to add, his shots powered by our love is always hitting net or outside the lines
Kidambi in post match interview. “Well, I couldn’t convert a 20-16 lead, I can’t complain. He started really well, and the local conditions suited him. The conditions were tricky, but this is the semifinal stage, so I can’t complain.”
While other top players like Momota are trying to find areas to improve, Srikanth is too confident to find any. Man!! look at the intensity and hunger.
Guys, this one was epic. Hong Kong Open: Kidambi Srikanth loses in semis https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com..._medium=referral&utm_source=native_share_tray Download the TOI app now: https://timesofindia.onelink.me/efRt/installtoi "It was good match. I could not start well but I am happy with the way I played in the second game and should have won after leading 20-16. I am little disappointed with it but it's a game and things like these happen," Srikanth told TOI on Saturday. "I want to forget this quickly and focus on my next tournament in Korea. Overall I am happy to reach semifinal in Hong Kong and looking forward to my next challenges," added Srikanth.
Reaching a Super500 SF is usaually a good achievemt but looking at Srikanths way to the SF it was a WO by Momota, a win vs Sourabh Verma in 3 games with 21-19 in G3, then CL retires and in the SF he cannot convert 7 GPs.
Exactly the point. He'll be getting the points for reaching SF but the way he reached it is important which was pure luck.
Definitely, I could find some areas where he was as before. But , when he reached 20-15, he simply became dumb and his usual mental blockade came into the picture. He already tuned his mind that he will lose it. Hence he became extremely nervous and surrendered ( listen carefully, in this part I will definitely say he himself was the reason for the loss. LCY didnt play well at that point. Just one point out of 7 game points. No use of talking hereafter). This was his chance to take the title I thought. No use of believing anybody.
Srikanth did well to beat Wong Wing Ki Vincent in two straight games 21-18, 21-17. Tomorrow he'll play Kanta Tsuneyama.
Kidambi loses to Kanta Tsuneyama in two straight games 21-14, 21-19. Next he'll play Vladimir Malkov in first round of Syed Modi provided he does not withdraw.
You underestimated Sri. He stand by his actions. See. I knew he will abide to his own rules . Today he lost to kanta tsuneyama, who does not have any achievements at all. According to me, his mindset now is in top 100. He will never reach his previous level , according to my guess.
